The brass Vela clone has landed.

After carefully studying each FT Caravela clone I have decided they do not have one worth adding to my collection.
Brushed is Ugly and wonky Graphics
Brass Graphics are not crisp and the Brass looks pre-patina'd
Polished has Brass bottom but Stainless Top.

I'll Stick to my Spgelei 8w's in 18530 and 18650 and save for a nicer copy.

Oh, I think they should perform just fine. But since I already have the 8w's it would be kind of redundant. Now, it the polished has the proper Brass top cap I'd likely be all over it.

Probably just me being picky, but after seeing the Nemesis, Origin and latest Poldiac Clones, the Vela's seem lacking in finish. This of course has nothing to do with ability to perform.

Then again I personally can't stand the Atomo. to me holes in the upper sides of the main tube just look bad. I have 2 Sigelei #20 that are like that and it bugs the heck out of me. Sigelei's are worse in that they are in the head and have no visible purpose. Not battery venting nor air flow. (Switch cooling holes? - lol)

Yeah, the Nemeis, and Podiac clones do look nice. Almost went for the Nemesis too.

Let ya know in a month or two when I see em in person.

You mean, the coil is wrapped around multiple silica wicks?
It would depend on what you will use them for...on a regular RDA, I prefer as much wick as I can fit. For an RBA, it's device dependent

I went way overboard with my order. Hope to see it in a month. I used to drop ship from a company in China and it wasn't good but it wasnt terrible either. 3 to 4 weeks.

Well that sux! Sorry to hear that . My Wife bought me a 450 size helli two Christmas back. I must of been a good boy, that thing was rather expensive. I LOVE it. I had got some of the small ones before this one, and I have to say they are the most fun this 53 year old boy has had in a while. .

I would start a ticket on this if I were you. FT has been real good about taking care of me. I think they will get you sorted out. It may be possible to just get a refund due to circumstances (christmas present). I know you would feel better if you at least let them know!

That was very thoughtful of you to want to get that for your Hubby. I KNOW he would like it if it worked right. I suggest the ones I enjoyed so much. A brand called 'air hogs'. You can get them at Wally World (Wal-Mart) for around 30 bux. Instant satisfaction lol

I'll be using them with my bottom coil clearos. I honestly don't think it would matter much in my application but was curious.

Ordered Oct. 28th. Nothing by early Dec. So sent them a ticket. They said it had been sent back from HK and asked if I wanted a refund or resent. I choose to resend on Dec.10th. Sent on the 12th. Confirmation in Singapore the 26th and sent on the 28th. Arrived in LA the 28th. Sent from there on the 2nd and arrived todat the 4th.
Got a Vamo5, Five Kanger t3s and 10 t3s heads. Whew glad all that is over with.
Just tried the new Vamo 5 . Great! For some reason hits harder than my Vamo 2. Just wanted a backup. Much improved screen.
Ordered nothing I needed right away. Have been cussing FT, but, yeah, I'd order from them again.

Might be. I put it away, but will get it out and check. My poor old one has fallen so many times the Protank leans more than the Tower Of Pisa.
