The trick is to remove from the acetone and let the parts dry. Then scrub the parts with a toothbrush or the like in soapy warm water. Rinse, dry and done.

Uhhh... I definitely wouldn't recommend this unless you're ABSOLUTELY sure you're only soaking bare metal, and even then you're going to have to wash it three times just to make sure you've got all the acetone off. Considering the problems you've had getting the machine oil out, Albcig, I'd be really concerned that you'd swap one problem for a much bigger one.

Just got a kayfun v3.1 today after about 30 days. Wow, this thing was covered in oil and smelled of it too! Other than that, the machining looked pretty good and it appears to be very well built. Apparently the center post is chromed brass (I can't see any of the brass) and I noticed a lot of people were upset on the FT forums. I know there has been a lot of discussion about brass and vaping but it seems like opinions vary widely about it's safety. Has any more information come about this?

Newer ones should be steel, you might have one of them.

Brass is the latest scare, the theory is if the brass hasn't been made at the correct temp there may be some lead remaining. However the amount you would get from a crack through the chrome actually getting into your vape is probably going to do you less damage than the nicotine you are trying to get out of your ecig.

We used lead pipes for years in our history, that is water that travelled through and stood still in many meters of solid lead pipe and was ingested. People died of lead poisoning after many years of constant exposure to this kind of quantity.

Personally, I thinks it's internet hogwash, let's face it, the best selling attys are Kanger Protanks, solid chrome covered brass and no one is kicking off about them, yet a Kayfun from FT with a brass base creates a fuss. The FT forums are filled with complete self entitled idiots at the best of times.

My last 2 orders shipped Singapore and both came through LA. I am pretty sure that they all ship on any available space to the USA regardless of the port of entry. Most show up at LA and JFK because most aircraft go there.

Depends on which shipping service you used. Singapore goes to JFK in NY. HK and Shenzen goes to LA.

Is it just me or everybody has these issues with this Kayfun ES 3.1 Clone?
1.Because it has to be exactly in the center, but it is NOT in my case.
2.The Center Pin screw come all the way out, when you unscrew it – it should not do that.
3.This Clone does NOT have a Bottom Filling Screw so you couldn’t fill it up from the bottom.
4.Side Filling Screw? It is NOT Fillips, NOT Flat, NOT Hex, NOT Torx… It is a round hole screw head. Although, I was able to jam a small Torx and unscrew it, it appeared that there is another small weird screw behind it or I broke the screw and it is the other half of it. In any case, I could not fill it from the side. I had one option left only: Fill it up from the Top. The worst way of filling Kayfun because when you screw in the top back into the Atty – it will create a pressure forcing the tank to leak. And it did leak out through the locked side filling screw. I’m thinking of drilling the base and installing the Bottom Filling Screw myself. Unlike the EHPro Kayfun 3.1 Clone that has the Bottom Filling Screw, the Side Filling Screw, not Issues with shorting center pin, it also does not come with the Drip Tip Adopter, and therefore you will not be able to use a standard Drip Tip. This. It was shipped in a plain plastic bag – no box, no spare parts, no tools, no wicks or wire.

1 - I have 1 3.1 clone from the first batch, mine works as intended
2 - I never disassembled mine so i can't comment on this problem
3 - It does not have the bottom fill port because the original 3.1 doesn't have one either.
4 - The side fill port doesn't have a screw, it's a valve, you need a different tip for your bottles or syringes. If you want to fill it from the top you have to put your finger on the air hole, fill it, carefully catch the threads with the top cap and put it upside down so when you screw the whole top cap you push air into the air channel instead of juice.

Somewhere out there
Anyone else's order held up for days in...Chicago?

Yes, had one stuck at ISC Chicago for 10 days. Finally got it today. (Just drip tips and o-rings and other little stuff)

Others are bouncing randomly between the Chicago area sorting centers. Chicago to Forest Park to Elk Grove to Oak Brook. Another went Chicago to Elk Grove to Forest Park.

What is the SKU for the one you have?

I received mine yesterday as well. And, yes, you're absolutely right, so much oil. Gave it a nice vodka then hot water bath after disassembly. And then, lo and behold, I got one with a stripped negative post screw. Lovely.

Managed to get the screw moving, but the head is so mangled that now I have to use the post hole for it instead of trapping it. So, my build just looks dumb haha.

One of the post holes on mine is stripped too! I had to pull the screw out with a pair of pliers. I opened a ticket and FT got back to me and said they were going to send me a new one with my next order. Also, like someone else said, the center screw on the 510 connection is crooked, not sure if it works or not.

Shipped on the 6th, the other, shipped on the 9th via epacket CP, both in my mailbox today! Waiting on one more that was shipped on the 6th. But at least I got the most important ones! My Hammer clone arrived in pretty decent shape in the black Tobecco box. No scratches, no scrapes. Sure is heavy! I got my King clone mod in excellent shape too! Using it for the caps. Had to tighten the screw for the button. It was a little loose. My Kayfun Lite clone came in great shape not caked in oil, with a wick and coil already on it. But crappy LMAO. As I was removing their premade coil, the wick fell apart in my fingers! I soaked for about 1/2 hour in Ajax anyway, built with cotton, but I have a little bit of an oogy taste. Hmmmm, time for a gin bath.

Very nice. I've been looking at some of the pipes (just because they look neat) but I'm sort of hesitant on how they actually work. I was never a pipe smoker. Do you sort of cradle the pipe end in your hand and push the button with your thumb?

(I suspect that's probably a really stupid question but I've never seen one of these in person. :) )

By the way, what topper are you using on this?

Thanks.

Why thank you! I just cradle it in my palm and push the button with my index finger. I have really small hands, and the pipes are really relaxed grip wise. Love it! Not a stupid question at all! Like I said in my post, the Hammer clone is heavy, but the way it is held makes up for that. I was using a Smoktech e pipe, but I got the Hammer clone for something different. I had to replace the original 510 connect and switch. They were flimsy.

I am using a Kayfun Lite FT clone.
