The trick is to remove from the acetone and let the parts dry. Then scrub the parts with a toothbrush or the like in soapy warm water. Rinse, dry and done.
Uhhh... I definitely wouldn't recommend this unless you're ABSOLUTELY sure you're only soaking bare metal, and even then you're going to have to wash it three times just to make sure you've got all the acetone off. Considering the problems you've had getting the machine oil out, Albcig, I'd be really concerned that you'd swap one problem for a much bigger one.
