I wasn't crazy about the center tube on the V3 and that's why I got this one instead. Who in their right mind would design a mod with such a HUGE flaw?? At least I got it before they bumped the price up. I got it for $16 and some change.

Yeah, not having a lock is a crazy thing to omit. Even if one had a lock but fired when set down I wouldn't use it. I set down and pick up my mod way too much to have to lock it all the time. But no lock even...?

I wasn't big on the look of the V3 at first, not just the center tube but the whole thing I was iffy about. In person it really is an attractive mod though, and works flawlessly.

Gahh.. The more you guys write about batteries the more I start getting confused...

Hubby has a provari regular. has four 2000mah red type 18650
they are 10+ months old and he is starting to complain that he seems to be recharging them all the time.

Tonight I am buying him a K100 in black, a few drippers $4.77 RDA Mini Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (1.0mL) - 2.4

from what I've read.. I should get him these for his new mech $11.03 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
and he can use these with his provari and give him a little more life maybe... $13.21 Panasonic NCR18650A 3.7V 3100mAh 18650 Rechargeable Batteries 2-pack - button top / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These won't blow up will they?

The CGR18650CH would be the much better choice in my opinion. The NCR18650PD is a tad better for a couple bucks more. The NCR18650A I wouldn't get.

Thank you Jerms, The NCR18650PD would be good for both devices? (provari and k100) I'm buying 2 sets, so I would rather buy the better one.

Yep, will work well for both. I have the CGR18650CH and they work great in my VAMO and mechs. The NCR18650PD is pretty much the same hybrid/IMR but with a higher capacity, I plan on getting those next.

Ops sorry, did you take apart the switch and see if you could tighten it up or modifiy in in any way?I think it looks way better than the V3.

Quote from Fastttech Geek guy:

The factory says there isn't a ring lock. We've played with it just now and unfortunately there really isn't one.

We'll work on a matching tank/atomizer.

I just took the entire switch apart and I think I fixed it. The small nut that screws into the fire button had to give. I tightened it down as much as possible and it compressed the spring a whole lot more than it was before. Not its sitting just inside the end cap. The throw is extremely short but its firing without a problem and doesn't accidentally fire if I set it down upright. I think I've got a keeper. It just needs a serious polish.

You owe me...LOL...you maybe able too sand down the firing pin a bit too give you more throw too.If it dont fire standing up,thats pretty cool too do without using a lock ring, saves you the hassle of locking it up all the time in between vapes, but this mod may not be too safe in a pocket. After a good polish you can spray on a lacquer too keep it shiny and smell free hands. If you put in your pocket, maybe slide a rubber cap over the bottom.

You got pics if the switch taken apart?

I usually get stuff from China within 10 days or so...
Did anyone have to sign for their package?
Mine was a small order, less than 14.00.. I wouldn't think I would have to sign for it.
Does USPS use a different tracking number once it hits the States?

In?

It has to be checked over in San Fran by the dogs, the bomb machine, then people have to look it over, and finally they put it through a huge washing machine.

The wrinkles and such in my packages suggest the washer machine device.

It takes 4-5 days in San Fran, its uber fast to States then bam San Fran inspections. I think they are faster than NJ though. In NJ thats at least 5-6 day sit.. Weird, Kearny NJ was faster, 2 days most--beginning of this year, now have slowed..

I don't own a Provari so I'll not tempt the wrath of the Provarinatti. Probably can't go wrong asking anything about Provari here ==> ProVari :)

Thanks for that. I tightened mine up and now it can sit without firing. I still my use it as a giveaway though. As for polishing...patina rules!
