right i have heard about this, but i think there are ways around it. like in the sentinel, you can screw in the bottom switch to adjust the height of the button (doesnt adjust the throw because you still have to push a certain distance to fire), so hopefully i can be able to screw it in so it is flush and have it still fire, though i cannot do that in the sentinel (it wont fire). if that fails, i will just swap out the spring in it for the spring in my k100 which is a very sturdy spring (the weight of the k100 is the same as the tvs, a little heavier actually, but that may include the weight of the carto, drip sleeve and drip tip though)

You are right, the foring button does recess in side the mod and wont fire, you can even carry in in a case and it wont fire,i think its designed this way which is not bad at all, just make sure the firing pin is really tighten too the button, your ok,you wont need too change the spring at all/

First post in this thread, just ordered some bits and bobs from fast tech, first order. Picked up the epipe mod. See how difficult it will be to change my pipe collection over to epipe.

It strikes me funny that the number one complaint with fasttech is that they are slow. Slowtech.

Welcome aboard. Your journey into credit card oblivion will be a long one, young FastTech apprentice.
I put in my 6th order last night and still don't have the first one in my hands yet.

You can have cheap and slower or expensive and faster. If you want expensive order from a US vendor or pay FT for the fast postage. The people whining chose cheap and slower, they had other options.

FT shipping is faster than most other Asian vendors, anyone whining about getting their order shipped thousands of miles for FREE needs shooting in my opinion.

I have had them take 5+ hours if I run them to the cutoff in my vamo. If you are using an nitcore charger they are 500mah so charging a 2900mah battery can take a while. Plus some of that current is lost to heat in the battery.

I also noticed they do get quite warm while charging, compared to some of my other 18650's

My batt. is 5.9 cm and FT list theirs as 450 mah as 6.2 cm so they are real close in size.

Thanks folks, will look into both solutions

I just saw this

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1...-400mah-rechargeable-battery-for-electronic-c This might work for her.

great i appreciate the photo...

not sure where you saw the FT 450 was 6.2 cm, but i believe you. 2.5 inches compared to your 2.3.

a shorty cart and beauty ring to finish it off. not a good long term solution but very cool and stealth ;)

thanks again  i got the FT 450 in my cart :D

read this USPS site when i entered in my FT tracking number for the order that was previously labelled as processing in hong kong since july 19th:

Sorry, the tracking system is experiencing technical difficulties.

first time that technical difficulties made me feel optimistic

One of my packages isn't updating as being delivered. I wonder if I'll get a replacement :)

LOL, I have something like 48 pipes. When I switched to pipe smoking from cigarettes I was going through upwards of 9 bowls a day and that takes a good rotation. You don't need such a rotation with vaping.

At least for the US FT isn't the slow part. USPS generally is the problem. Although not for me this time. HK post was a little slow in getting it on the plane but after that Sunday morning in HK, Thursday afternoon in my hands. Had there been a cheap seat on the HK plan I would've had the stuff in under a week from ordering.

That is not bad. My KTS also has a 0.20 voltage drop after sanding the chrome off the battery contacts and the switch. It is mainly because these mods are made from brass which is a better conductor than SS.

If I make a solid gold or platinum mod with an even lower drop think I can get $4000?

In the product description you can toggle back and forth between US and metric measurements for most any item @ FT . It's a blue hyperlink :)

Ah crappolla! It looks like they are selling the 1100 twist way out in front of themselves. My order has all orders ready to ship except for the twist that says Scheduled Ship Date: 7/31/2013

:glare::(:mad:

They probably weren't ready for the flood of orders they got. ........ pimped them the other day too.
They did something similar on my Vamo V3, took 5 days to ship.

I think I'll wait on them, I have a cart ready with a pink one for my wife. Maybe I should just get a pink wrap for the vamo...

Actually, that is exactly what I have. I think I even ordered from them. They have the silver cone on it, I think you will still need to get a beauty ring. It is not a Joy Tech ego but it seems to be of good quality.I have one of the 450's on order from FT. If the FT one is of decent quality, I think the extra 100mah will be worth a couple of Cm's.

Sitting here now I just measure it with a standard type carto, no drip tip it is 9.5 cm (3 3/4") I find I don't really need a drip tip on this unit for what I use it for most of the time. I don't sit there and haul on it. It is more for stealth or the quick bathroom break type of vape. If I think I am going to use it more than that, I'll grab a clearo for it. I do that a lot with shorts or when I am being active like a one or two hour hike and I don't want a big battery clunking around.
