Anybody order the x8 tank? I ordered along with a few extra cartos and been through 3 cartos and they all taste burnt ...new to this style tank so any advise is greatly appreciated

Sent from a ReJeCtZ phone, while fighting in JellyVerse, and being attacked by The Terror Squad.

Using one as I type this do yourself a favor and grab some boge cartos I prefer the new laser slotted ones here

Boge 510 SR Stainless (Laser Slotted) - (1 box)

Edit crap it looks like they are out of stock but they do have the LR which will work better on ego type batteries IMHO

Yes I have one. I had to make a bigger hole in the carto. I used a hacksaw. Then I bought some boges and had to hacksaw those too.

I like them. Just need a small needle nose bottle to fill them. The needle bottle fasttech sells is too large.

Just saw Bud's post. Same place I got 2 packs of Boge's.

The point is if you don't like my advice, ignore it and keep the smart-a* and condescending remarks and attitude to yourself. I never did that to you or anyone else and I don't expect it to be done to me. There is no excuse for the sort of response you posted. If you want to counter an opinion, throw it out there. Just keep the degrading tone out of it.
Again, the responses in a public thread like this are for all to read. I can assure you, if this was just for YOU, no one else would be here.
Additionally, don't go throwing words in my mouth with your ignorant Provari comment. If you actually take some time and pay attention, you'll find your 180 degrees off on any advice I give. If you are unwilling to read the opinions of other people, go somewhere else because you'll never get along here and it's starting to look like that just may be the problem, this isn't your first "incident".

I appreciate the info guys ...just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me ...it seems like no liquid gets in it and you just get a hot burnt vape

hey...
Could I ask you to post a photo of the slot(s) you cut in them so I can get a general idea of how big you are cutting it and where?
I've been trying to get this to work and not having such great luck. This is my first whack at using a cartomizer tank setup so I'm pretty much in the dark on experience.

Sure when I get home I will try to get a pic on my tablet. My wife and kids will probably laugh at me.. I just took a shot at it. The boges were tougher to saw than the FT ones. Basically I hold the carto with my hands and cut along the hole. I keep cutting until "I figure I think this is good."

It was my first whack too mate. The first one I cut I thought man this thing is going to leak like mad. It never did. I use around 25/75.. I DIY and don't sweat the pg/vg ratio.. Usually it's here is the base and let's see what flavorings I can add. I do have a full bottle of 100% PG on the way.. So I can cut it down a bit. I am figure if I add 100% pg to my 25/75 I should get around 60/40.

How ya like it? Saw that on the UK sites but never picked one up.

Pretty cool so far ... my taste buds are a little spoiled by the Ithaka right now, but I can see this as a great device for out and about. I'll have to experiment as to what the best device is to bottom feed with. I have to confess I haven't used normal cartomizers much so that's kind of new to me. The two heads that come with it look like they could be rebuilt. Perhaps a micro coil... hmmmmm....

VAPEMAIL!!! VAPEMAIL!!! VAPEMAIL!!!

Got my order in and only 1 day behind original estimate of 2 weeks. Probably could have done better but the some of the items required a wait on their end but were filled in their estimated time.

1300mAh USB Rechargeable Battery for EGO-T E-Cigarette

Nice battery. Feels good in hand. Threads are really nice and no obvious defects. 5 press lock with blue LED. I trusted the numerous FT reviews and they were spot on.

Fits/looks great with these.

EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer (1.5mL)

Again looks like its well made with very clean threading. The thread lip is about a mil wider than the crown on the battery but not enough to interfere with the button. Black finish matches battery perfectly.
Pretty airy draw and its making great smooth cool vapor. An hour in and no leaks or drips.
Probably will look for a coil to get a little more throat hit than this 2.6 ohm. Any suggestions?

Charging with these.

Electronic Cigarette USB Charging Cable (19cm)

Having spent $12.40 cents per set on these items I am STOKED!!!

Also got one of these but only checked that its not DOA.

Variable Voltage USB Passthrough Battery for E-Cigarette

Its tiny. The EVOD is actually larger. I just bought it as a cheap "just in case" item and figured it would be a cool toy to see if I wanted to buy any VV batters later. No instructions to speak of so not real sure how to adjust voltage. Play with it later....

If you are unwilling to read the opinions of other people, go somewhere else because you'll never get along here and it's starting to look like that just may be the problem, this isn't your first "incident".

And my point is answer the question and keep the "spend more money like I did" out of it.
What's funny is if you think the Provari comment was degrading you obviously don't like what they do yet you did the same thing.

If it came down to having to buy a $30-$80 multimeter to be able to test coils before cutting them off and putting them in I'd go with e-pipeman's advice and just use the Vamo's ohm meter and risk wasting some wire.
But if it comes down to paying $10-$15 to get in the ballpark before cutting resistance wire, which it does, then get a cheap multimeter.

Many people don't have money to waste. When someone asks for cheap you should figure they have a reason for wanting cheap. When cheap will do what they're asking there's no need to try and waste their money.
If you have a problem with something like "Radio Shack" like djezewski I don't have a problem with that.
I wouldn't even have a problem with it if there was an actual reason for an average person to buy an expensive multimeter. But the fact is there isn't a reason and a cheap one will be good enough, especially when a Vamo is included in the equation.
Funny how you say I'm always 180° from your advice yet this is the first "incident" I recall having with you. Perhaps I reserve my "incidents" for when people give bad advice or spout wrong opinions as fact.

I am waiting for the day my taste buds get spoiled. It happened for 2 days 1 month into vaping. It has been about a year since that date. Even dripping doesn't work. grrrr.

The way I understood it is you could use a dripping atty with it. Yes the one it comes with looked like you could rebuild it.

How is the the bottle it came with. I heard teenie tiny.

I have ordered bottles from them several times some needles are smaller and do work it just depends what they grab and send you. Now that I think of it one time they sent me a bottle with a plastic needle LOL.

HI
Mhmmmmmmmmm.....so, I placed my order to fasttech back on Sep. 24 and part of my order is now on the island (they had to split the order because the other one was back ordered?). Anyway, that means it's only been about 12 days since I placed my order. I'm surprised. I expected to be waiting over a month and here I am anticipating the arrival of my order.

Do I wanna order more from fasttech? Idk, I just might, but for now, I'm taking a break from new purchases (the GF is on my back about it lol). Good luck to the rest of you.

I got a 10 pack on order now.. I had 2 from before and while the needle fit, it just fit, and there was no room around the needle for air to escape. I coould push the carto down and create a gap the it would fill nicely. I got some other bottle and the work perfectly. just hard squeeze liquid out of them.

Yeah, I think it's about 1.8 ml, although I hear larger bottles that will fit in it are coming soon. It's easy enough to refill that it's not a big deal.

Have you tried the coffee trick? I swear it works. You open a fresh bag and inhale deeply a few times, it kind of "reboots" your taste buds. It's what wine tasters do. Try it!

Never heard of that one. Wife just bought a bag of Starbucks morning blend. I don't like starbucks coffee so it will be perfect to take a big swiff of. I think I may just pass out by caffeine inhalation though.

Thanks mate.

Let me know if it works for you ... I can definitely pick up more "notes" in my juice after I do it.

Samsung over the Sony? I was gonna get the Sony, but haven't really looked into these ones yet as I have plenty of batts. Would you suggest the Samsungs instead? I trust you Ray, and it would save me some research time lol. I want to check out some tests that show the drop off from 4.2 to 3.8 or so volts. Whatever can hold in that range the longest. I've been wanting the AW 1600 mAhs, but a bit spendy.

I'm currently using the Sony 30amps and love them, but from the tests I've read the Samsungs are better for a few reasons. They have more usable voltage, they have less voltage loss, and, of course, there's a little more capacity. I have some on the way to try for myself. Here are two tests from the super-techy flashlight crowd:
