Anyone had luck with the eGo Twist from fasttech? Thinking about picking up one very soon sense I only have the 650 mah.

I've been eyeballing this variable voltage. Definitely more expensive than the twists but goes to 6 volts and has a pass through. All its missing is an ohm meter. There's also a 900 and a 650 but the money is about the same.
I've seen this battery on a US website and seems they were asking around $35 for it. Also believe this is a UK review for it.

That review is of the version 2 by SLB. That one at FT is like the version 1, and may be a clone (though a quality clone). One noticable difference is the button; while the V2 by SLB has a Joyetech eGo type clicky button, this one has a flush button. The button is actually a silicone type sleeve that goes around and has a nub that goes into a slot. Some don't like the flush button. I don't mind it, but prefer the V2's type.

I have the 650 mAh one. It's quite a bit longer than a Twist, almost as big as the 1000 mAh Twist, and a little thinner. It also doesn't last as long as a 650 mAh Twist, so would definately suggest that 1100 mAh one.

The screen is definately nice to have on an eGo style device. Nice to be able to digitally set the volts and I really like that it shows how much battery power is left. Pass through and up to 6 volts is nice too, though with it's 2.5 amp limit you'll need a 2.4 ohm or higher topper to go up that high.

So plusses and minuses, but I think it's a nice little device for on the go.

more new arrivals... stands, loads of 10ml hangsen juice, mini protank ll, nemesis mechmod and the Engraved Nimbus clone

A question for the rebuildable connoisseurs in here. Anyone here besides myself ever sand the pin on their rda/rba's to reveal the brass? I have yet to test/verify results with any equipment. May be placebo but it seems to make a positive difference.

I think that's a record for me. Already ordered and paid for. Not sure why I needed another mech mod, I haven't even gotten my first one in the mail yet.

i don't need another mech mod and it seems they will pop up in serious numbers and cheap price. i will just spectate the mech world for the next year, buying maybe some good RDA now and then

I'm not sold on mechs. I was right in that I wouldn't like unregulated power just like with eGo batteries. I can see their place with low/sub-ohm, but I'm not entirely sold on them either. I did get better flavor at .9Ω but I'll have to compare it to taking a few more twists with the same wire and putting it on a VV/VW.

At this point if I go for another mech any time soon it will be for reliability's sake and to have a backup in case an EMP takes out my Vamos and eVics :)

I couldn't upload the pics from my tablet. They aren't the best pics either hopefully you can get an idea. One is of one cart(from fasttech) the one in the X8 is a two hole boge. I left the hole on the other side alone and just took the hacksaw to the other hole. It is a little tough to see. Basically I just sawed until I figured "good enough".

Totally agree with you... a regulated mod gives you a CONSISTENT vape from full battery down to empty. A nicely wound micro coil on a VV device is hard to beat, especially for flavor. I have one mech but I have a Kick in it... I love a consistent vape.

I do wish Fasttech would add a Kick or something similar to their list. Put in a product request some time back but never heard anything from them

I would imagine if they could get the Sigelei Kick, it would be cheap enough to have one in every mech. I have one and it goes up to 12 watts which is more than enough for most of my toppers.

I need more for the Ithaka and Trident just so I can tinker with the dual coil rig. I'll have to go without a Kick to get what I want out of those. That's why I ordered a mech in the first place, I'm not really driven to want one for any other reason really. Just when the Nemesis came up on there this morning I knew I had to have it for whatever silly reason. I really wish inokkin would do something like take the SVD idea and make it modular like the Nemesis instead of telescopic. THAT would be cool for sure. I just need a little more power than it puts out, just a few more watts...
Regardless, once I've figured it all out, I'll just build them on single coil setups anyway...hehe. I tend to like moderate setup on the coils anyway so in the end, 5amps is all I should need on the extreme end of it. the other 99% of my vaping will still be done on an iclear 16 so an Ego twist/spinner is truly all I "need".

I hear ya... I think the flavor is actually better on my Oddy right now with its single coil vs the dual in the Ithaka right now. I think I'm going to build a nice micro style single coil / dual wick in the Ithaka next.

Agreed, it would be awesome for Innokin to make a non-telescoping mod with power of the DNA20, but with the ability to "buck" down, unlike the DNA. THAT would be sweet!
