What are some good around $20 mechs on FT that will take imr button top 18350's? Got a bunch I use with the provari and wanna play with some mechs safely without having to buy new batteries. No sub ohm stuff, just a different form factor. Advice? Thanks!

I just broke my original Protank, does anybody know if this works as a good replacement using Kanger base and heads:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005164/1435803-replacement-kwx10-protank-glass-tank-2-8ml

thx

Its possible it would work. I'd probably just spend a couple bucks more and try one of these PT2 clones:

$9.39 Protank-II Style Bottom Coil Clearomizer (2.5mL) - translucent / 2.5ohm / beauty ring at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

No reviews yet, but they look to be a dead on replica aside from 1 small detail (threaded top part of stem).

My order got here today. 10 50ml bottles of Dekang each individually bubble wrapped, no tin foil and no leaks. The eGo twist came through just fine also, I'm vaping it as I type. The package sat in HK from the 6th to the 18th and somehow sailed through frisco in one day! 23 days order to delivery. My vaping buddy's Vamo showed up today too. Lucky for him he didn't order a kit.

Sure wish people could get along here on the forum. Don't we have enough enemies outside the vaping community without fighting amongst ourselves? :2c:

Yea, had a big problem. Ordered july 31st, it shipped august 8 and it got to me today. The kicker? Had to pay $35.65 in fees from Customs. US customs. Think I'm done with FT. Not their fault though

Vapira

Wow that really sucks!

What was your actual total order and what value did they put on the package?

Also what customs did it go through?

How much did you order....over $200 worth of items? With large item shipping there is a surcharge that they aren't responsible for...this is why I order onesies and twosies and try to keep orders from getting too big...US gubby gotta get "their cut" ya know :\

Well this order was 373 and I have ordered an over 500 one with no surcharge. This was a customs charge I guess because of beef-upped security. Oh well, still got awesome deals

Vapira

I think we are allowed $200 in value without duty. Fasttech routinely under reports the value on the package so I can only guess that someone did a closer inspection on yours and caught that it was under reported. :(

Got home from work tonight to find a notice on my door. $102.65 order with a $43.85 duty fee LMAO! How in the hell does that make sense? I stopped making "big" orders because one got held up for 2 months and I got a duty fee and now this $#!7...
This was the only order this week to go through there too. Chicago can get ****** I'll pay the fees when they win the pennant.

That sounds so incredibly wrong. I have no idea of the legalities or how duty fees work but it still seems wrong!

What I want to know is what criteria are they using to charge duty fees.
Is part of this holdup having to do with maybe collecting duty fees?
I thought there was a dollar limit that was duty free (maybe I'm wrong)

That's the one. Only I got the crappy kind. In SS. Fairly shoddy, but works like a treat. Loctited the firing button so it won't unscrew and become un-lockable. No noticeable drop in performance.

Keep in mind it only takes extreeeemely little of the stuff for our application. Less than what should affect conductivity noticeably, if at all. Then use half of that and wipe off 95%.

Edit/Correction: Aluminum and mystery metals, as pointed out by E_Cig Vicious

I'd love to know where you got a crappy SS M16. Believe you mean aluminum.
The brass M16 is nice but a bummer they didn't make the locker reverse threaded.

Thanks for the answers on mods. Yeah, I've seen all the mods, just wanted to make sure I got reliable advice on what fit my criteria the best. Might hate mechs, so don't wanna blow a lot on batteries too. Lol

It depends on the firing button location and appearance you prefer but...
The TVS is a pretty sweet performer. The lack of a locker is pretty awesome. A polished SS version of this would probably be my #1
Brass Sentinel v3 is a great choice and solid performer.
My Chi You(SS ordered release day) came as an auto firing bomb with nothing isolating the negative side at the switch and the pin side like the Bagua is just a PITA design in comparison to the tele-pins or "floating" pins which are simple and just work.
Bagua is ok but kind of a hot mess
Brass M16 is solid but the lack of a reverse locker is annoying and again wish for a SS option.
KTS is ok
k100/101 are good but IMO there are better looking and performing options now for less $ even.
I could write a book here on every mech @ FT
IMHO There is nothing that compares to the SS/brass/copper Private v2 with silver plated pins for $20. It has the whole package for me Appearance, Performance, Function. My only complaint would be the occasional loosening of the firing button/switch. There is no modding needed unless you want every atty to flushmount which is a simple fix. This will loosen up naturally but I just helped it along by giving it a couple taps. The finish has been holding up perfectly with only a seldom polishing of the brass and copper pieces only because I always run mine in 18650 config.

reviews can be kinda dodgy over at FT but if there are enough reviews the sum of all seem to paint a decent picture most of the time lol
I'm usually on the drink when I do them but at least they don't consist of

Indeed! Aluminum and some random mix of other mystery metal concoctions. Got my coffee and brain is almost back to working order. Can't recall where I got it from tho. For sure it can't be the same as people call "the good ones". Oddly enough, performance is actually quite decent.

Well .... I gotta admit, I'm getting a bit antsy. Last night, I actually dreamed that one of my packages had ... moved. My order was placed on 8/30. It landed in HK Purgatory on 9/4. And, there, it remains. Another package has been there since 9/16. Maybe it's consoling my first package. At least, it's not lonely. Is there anyone else out there that's had one ordered so long ago that hasn't budged? *sigh*
