Clarification for inside US based on having worked in shipping and receiving - When a business ships enough items every day a USPS trailer is left at that warehouse. As it is loaded they have a manifest that keeps track of what is in the trailer. When that trailer is unloaded that manifest is scanned thus they don't need to manually scanned, however as they unload they are looking for packages they can't accept for one reason or another. If they encounter a package they can't accept (multiple reasons that can happen but usually improperly sealed) that individual package is scanned to remove it from the manifest. Once done the manifest is entered one way or another as accepted and the remaining packages on it go to "acceptance".
This is the process inside the US from about 10 years ago. Things may have changed here and Hong Kong may have a different procedure. I notice that HKP lists things a posted and the status on USPS goes to acceptance so I assume they have the same meaning but regardless, for USPS to go to acceptance mean HKP physically has the package.
Additionally, all packages are set on a conveyor with the label up to be scanned and automatically routed to the appropriate next step but those scans don't enter into tracking.
Going out of that facility has a similar procedure. So you are correct that they don't scan individual packages for the tracking you see but they do have a scanning procedure.
I have two orders. One placed on8-19 & one placed on 9-15. They both left HK today! One order is the Ithaka I've been looking forward to for so long......

I'm jealous of all the folks that have received orders. There must be a dark dark corner where HK Post employees fear to tread containing some of our packages. I've had a package (containing an MVP among other odds and ends) in acceptance state since 9/5.
Update: My package made it to San Francisco this morning! So, if I get it Saturday it will be 17 days from order date. Sheesh . . . all this excitement over $16 worth of doodads

If quick mind count was right.. thats 640ml of liquid. Looks like batteries and stuff say 25 bucks.. 125 for 600 ml or 21 cents a ml. Not bad at all.

Yeah, I kept hoping that my order was well on its way and that no one was scanning it. Evidently, not the case.
Seeing that this thread is for all things Fasttech, and it seems their shipping times are always in question..
I placed an order on Sep 13 for a 7 pack of Ego batteries and 2 5-packs of tanks. They didn't ship until the 17th, and they arrived in New Jersey today, the 25th.
Not bad, especially when I've read so many stories of people waiting weeks upon weeks for their gear.

Shipping times aren't always in question. Until the beginning of this month it was usually a steady 8-14 days. Shipping times for stuff that went out after somewhere around the 13-15 from FT are shipping normally but the back logged stuff from the beginning of the month up to then are the concern.
My first time ordering from fasttech, I got 3 packages sitting @ acceptance in hong kong. 2 packages accepted on the 18 and the other on the 19th. One is an inokin SVD and nitecore charger, batteries in #2 package, and an inokin iclear 30 in the third. I know they will come eventually , the worst part is my ego twist was fried so I had to grab another locally at a local vape shop for $18 to hold me over

I can wait on the packages, I just want to see some movement from hong kong. It has been 9 days since placing order and been sitting in hong kong for 7 days.
