Is it just me, or is anyone else a little queasy at the thought of FT (or anyone) circumventing the law by wrapping the batts in tin foil?

I mean there's a REASON for the law,,,,,

I'd just rather they be honest with us that batteries will take longer and be sent by the slow boat from china and let me decide if I want to wait for that slow boat or if I should order my stuff separate from batteries,,,,,,or if I should order batts here in the US and the rest of it from them,,,,

I'd not be able to handle the guilt if I thought my batteries wrapped in foil caused an airline explosion.

I'm right there with you. That's the first thing I thought of when I first heard about this. I won't be ordering batteries from them (or anyone else in China), but they could also jeopardize their business if they're caught and not allowed to ship internationally any more.

Oh, and I too am not waiting on any orders for myself, but I'm checking every day to see if yours came...

I've not received any of the foil wrapped packages yet but I've got to wonder if this foil is electrically conductive. If one of the plastic batt boxes popped open it could be a disaster. Maybe it's not conductive though.

All but impossible. I'm sure you've seen how generous they are with packing tape. The boxes are taped shut, wrapped in foil, then a cocoon of tape goes around that, then bubble pack, then the package, then yet another cocoon of packing tape. I think packing tape costs them more than the actual postage.
And unlike most state-side vendors I won't name, every battery I've gotten from FT was actually in the plastic protective box where it's supposed to be.

another SVD being held hostage in hong kong, ordered 9/16 shipped 9/18, hong kong acceptance 9/19. My first fasttech order went through the x-ray ordeal, then the hurricane or whatever it was and now the holiday.

9/6 order is still sitting, looks like they're slowly getting out of there updated/non updated so I'll still be on the lookout for that one.

The good news is that my 9/26 order finally got processed through HK, it's been @ "Origin Post Preparing" since the 27th. Looks like i'll have goods sometime next week.

I just got a 5 pack of 510-X batteries, THOUGHT I could use my 510 chargers, WRONG, the 510-X are fatter (400 mah batteries), so I THOUGHT I could use my EGO charger, WRONG, This SUCKS. Had to use my EGO PCC to charge them. Anyone got a link to the chargers for a 510-X on FT? (Can't Find Them) I got them for PIF to friends (once I get the 510 tanks on the order I placed 9-7), but I need some chargers that they will fit into. Any help is appreciated. I vaped on one tonight with a carto and it was nice, I think they would be good for a N00B to try to see if they liked vaping over the cigs. JMHO

This one is supposed to have both 510 and Ego threading, and one purchaser said it also had air flow control adjustment.

No way I would buy this one when the polished solid brass CYC is now only $24. I paid $27 for mine, got it Monday, and it is awesome!

I got one of those to try it too. Works pretty good. I also want to get the right charger, but if I remember right, I used an ego adapter to charge mine up for the trial run.

If FT quote the manufacturer the goods are made by that manufacturer. No one on this thread has had an issue with batteries fom FT as far as I recall.

So the private v2 I ordered last week that hasn't shipped just went into restocking status. I'm not too happy about that. I probably won't order anything I am looking forward to from FT anymore.

The drip tips i ordered did arrive with no tracking updates yesterday and they seem pretty decent.
