First real disappointment with a Fasttech purchase.
Received my Ithaka Clone Today after a Month in limbo. Nice shiny piece and not overly nasty from machining. Broke everything down and gave it a good soap and water bath, tossing the included wicks aside.(nasty/dirty) I'll be coiling my own.
Got everything dried and started putting it back together to check fit / threading. First thing I noticed is the O-ring joints do not allow the o-rings to slip inside and once assembled it is about 1/4" longer than it should be. All of this is O-ring space.
I have a Hercules to compare and it is extremely obvious.
Next and most annoying is the Stack. I now understand why everyone says use EXTREME caution to thread it on STRAIGHT.
It can actually be threaded all the way on cross threaded and do no damage as the thread Fit is HORRIBLY loose. Looks more like it is chromed than polished and some internal areas show bare rough machining.
I see no mechanical reason it should perform any different than the original Ithaka or the Hercules if handled with care.
Overall:
Looks - A+
Design - A
Attention to Details - B-
Machining - C
Pricing - B
While I'd expect not to pay much less, I definitely would not recommend paying more. If I wanted something that was a good Ithaka Clone, I highly recommend the Hercules instead. Co-op pricing has been close and hopefully a few venders will eventually offer it lower.

Totally agree with you, the Hercules is a class act, and worth the extra cost. Now if FT carried it, THAT would be sweet.
Thanks for the info, some things do have a quality that match their price rather than be a bargain, it's good to know which is which. I am hoping my Kayfun clone will be the latter.
Probably would work GREAT on a straight 5vdc USB bypass rig!A while back I was whining about these Dual Coil Cartomizers I ordered from FastTech:
$7.61 Authentic Smoktech 510 Dual Coils Cartomizers (5-Pack) 5-pack - 2.5 ± 0.2
I learned too late that they require a higher voltage than any of my batteries would put out. That problem is solved with this new MVP. With the voltage set to 5.0 these Smoktech's are doing fine. I've learned so much by reading this thread and watching all of the reviews on YouTube. It's pretty amazing when you think about. I only started vaping in August. There's so much information available online that anyone that wants to get into vaping can do it quite easily.
Hercules - Absolutely Nice for the Price!
Quick Follow up on the FT................. and this has to be a Tobecco Piece from the build.
Trying to get the Main Nut to thread over the Wicked center piece proved to be all but impossible. Flipping the nut confirmed all threading was okay, but in the right position it refused to align and screw down. I ended up finishing the wick trimming and threaded the nut UP from the bottom, then put the assembly into the base and adjusted as needed.
Running a Double 3mm wick on single 1.8ohm N-R-N coil
DIY Sweet Raspberry 50/50 12mg
Sigelei #20, Efest 18350, Sigelei Kick - Backed down to 7 watts after initial 8-9 watt attempt.
Hits Hard - Good flavor and solid(Incredibly Solid) throat hit.
Actual performance is very close to the Hercules, though the coils are in a different configuration. (X) wick On Hercules, single coil and Flavor wick.
No gurgles, No dry hits - slight pop now and then.
Will have to use it a while and see how everything shakes out.
Have you heard any good reviews or recomendations on the FT cloned Kayfun ?
Anyone know if they are still having issues with shipping eliquid or ego batteries? I have a big store credit and its killing me not to use it...
I recently got the RH ithaka from DV (hercules I think?). They have them on sale if there's any left. I couldn't pass it up for 42 bucks. This one came with the 'drip tip' juice controller as an extra. It's also a brushed finish which I like. Looks great on my FT SVDI have both, and while the Hercules seems to be a little bit better on the machining everything else is just the same.
At the same price the hercules is a clear winner but if the price difference is >$20 i think the FT one is a better investment.
Ordered the Kayfun clone the "rocket" the other day. Anyone get one yet?
