Are any of you guys using this RSST:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...hentic-smoktech-rsst-rebuildable-atomizer-2-5

I have it setup and running, but I'm pretty disappointed in it. It's not hitting dry, but on a mech running 1.3ohms on the coil, it is very cold vapor and really weak flavor. I've redone the coil 3 times trying all the way up to 2.2ohms.
I'm using #500 mesh and it appears to stay plenty wet enough, it's just like the coil is taking forever to heat up and then isn't really getting hot enough. If I take 2-3 primer hits, the vape I get is rough as hell... and still cold.
If I put it on an MVP and crank it to 5v, it doesn't seem to make a difference at all.
I'm not sure what's going on here.
Any advice?

Found a nice little thingy the other day. Not very vaping related, but sure can be. It's a battery backup that takes 1-3x 18650 batteries and has an USB output. Finally something to use my 18650s for. Should be great as a backup battery for phones, etc. Could also be nice to charge ego batteries with.

NICE!
Looks as if it has 3 independent charging channels, I wonder how accurate on the 4.20vdc charge per channel is though. (per the reviews it charges very very close to the required level!)

So it appears it can be used as a 3 battery charger (independent of each other), AND a portable power bank...nice

Will take FOREVER to charge though unless you have a high output wall wart or something, then with the CC/CV charging circuitry it will still push only so much to each battery.

VERY interesting! hmmmm so sticking on my wishlist

Received today 2 packages the FT shipper resent without warning them about the new tracking numbers. Both posted on 10/18. I'm wondering if finally I'll receive the Vamo, the MVP and Ego-X9 I ordered about the same time. Hope the Customs don't grab them!

I just got an odd one today as well...
This order took longer than any other. Ordered on Oct 14th, delivered today.
funny thing is I checked the tracking this morning and it still said "acceptance" in HKP. Then all the sudden it's in my mailbox.
Hmph... anyway, I'll take it.

AND, it's a lot better than I expected: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1481600

I was skeptical, I figured I would get complete junk based on the FT photos.
I'm quite suprised, actually. It looks really good. I just got done cleaning it and re-coiling... hope to test it out sometime tonight. So far though based on appearances, finish, etc it looks nice.

Mine came today also ... going to play with it tonight.

GLAD TO KNOW!!! My 10/11 order is kind of lost right now... HK Post said it was returned to FT, so I am hoping against hope that it's with this group!

I'm actually quite impressed with this thing. I know if it can keep up with the wife, it has to be good :). Your right about charging it from the USB cable (slow). My wife will bring hers to me every few days and say"charge it" lol. I just take the batts out and charge them on my multi charger for her. Good to go!

The one thing I didn't know about though was it has a LED flashlight mode. You hold the button down for 5 seconds to activate it, 5 more to deactivate. Not super bright, but good enough to find key holes.

So far I am impressed...never had an eGo style battery (other than the corded USB bypass rig) but for 2x-1300mAh battery for under $13.00 and the mantra "backups for your backups of your backups" nice to have...plus a few of the vape-a-loan rigs I have are too big and people don't like em (Totally Wicked Tornado RCS) these are actually pretty daggum small and came almost full charge (only about 2-3 hours on a 150mA cigalike charger than I got when I ordered a Totally Wicked Titan Tank kit which broke in a week at $50+!!! (they did send me a replacement though so customer service is solid enough)

So far I like it, I have a BCC mini at 2.5Ω coil that I pulled off my Vamo V3, I run my Vamo at 6.5 watts all day long and the vape is warm and full, on these batteries the vape is MUCH cooler with less throat hit but still a good volume of vape cloud

[main reason I got em was to see if I could duplicate these problems that people keep having and to see if there is a viable fix or underlying flaw, plus to get my hands on one for the ability to have something tangible in my hands to help with troubleshooting and whatnot]

Not bad for a cheap backup I suppose...was less than $13 for two batteries...let see how well they hold up, if they break...meh...I still use my other workhorse rigs Vamo V3 (and soon to be MVP2 yay!) anyway

All of you do go back and under the "Details, Options & Support" link above the "Track Package" button and click the "delivered" button to let them know you got it right? ;)

Pics or it didn't happen of course :p

Had to order one just for the gadget factor alone. Planning to use a separate charger to charge the batteries anyway, so not too worried about those capabilities. Been wanting a battery bank, but didn't realize I could get one that ran off of 18650s until I saw this one.

Well order from 10/11 (6th order since 9/7) cleared SF today (had an extra 5 day wait for stock). Should have it 25th or 26th. So even with the extra 5 day wait I will get it in 14 to 15 days. My dice rolls have been going good, so I just placed order #7. All ship next day stuff, nothing liquid or batteries, mostly empty bottles for mixing, tired of trying to wash out old bottles, just cant get some flavors/odors out of the bottle. Well lets see if my dice are still hot on shipping and delivery, if so I should get it by 11/6, if not no biggie, nothing I really have to have tomorrow.

Took me a while to find this post, but the order I am talking about cleared SF today, that is normally 3 days until I get it in Florida. So the Dice are still hot on my 7th roll. Should have it early next week, I'm thinking at this point, about 12 days, order to delivery. Will post when I get it. My 8th order, non-vape related has shipped, tracking not working yet, but this order took 5 days until tracking worked.

Here's a quick and dirty one:

R48MgOC.jpg

Well, so far I'm not having much luck ... the vape is very harsh, kind of metallic tasting. I'm on my 2nd build too. Stumped.

I did a micro on 1/16" bit the first time, then I tried 8 wraps around a 14g needle to get more of a "mini" build ... same thing. Coil is centered over the air hole, just a bit away from it. Any Kayfun experts have any suggestions on getting the "wire" taste out? Usually I don't have this issue with my other devices (Oddy, Ithaka, numerous drippers, etc.)

I'm using rolled cotton for the wick too, seems to be getting plenty of juice.

This is what I am seeing on the order from the 24th

FT-10-24-13.jpg

And after some looking, this is what I just ordered tonight

FT-11-06-3013.jpg

$13.89 WN-801 2.5W Solar USB Battery Travel Charger - 5VDC/500mA output / without battery inside at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$19.71 QIDIAN 4A 6*18650 DIY Power Bank Battery Compartment - dual USB output at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$3.06 Stainless Steel Curved Drip Tip for 510 / ViVi Nova / DCT at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Got to have power when Got NO Power...
Only have 3 (OLD, from 2009) 18650 batteries, but this bank will work with 1 to 6 batteries, and charge them. I could not find anything bigger even with internal batteries. How it will work, no idea, but for the price I will try it. Got the solar panel with the highest output (without internal battery) that they have. I'm sure if I am without power, I will STILL VAPE. ;)

Got to stop looking at ECF, I have spent $1100 in 2 months :p Well If I CAN QUIT SPENDING I will be even by the end of the year, and feeling LOTS BETTER, and I have enough equipment and juice for a year at least (except for DIY flavoring).

Sorry FT, but I had to purchase my MVP elsewhere.

Good news is that I bought an MVP from 101...Finally. :) Oh, and both White and Black Carbon Fiber Wraps from Vaporbeast.

Please forgive me.
Lol, it's only shopping, balance price/service/shipping and make a decision that's good for you.

Now get out and never darken our doors again.
