I have had 15 orders since last year, all have been just fine. Ever since 9/11 shipping seems to have been a mess, but things may be getting back to normal once the sep/oct bottleneck gets cleared. Maggie- I just wanted something I could slave off my desktop ie recipes etc so could take it to the kitchen instead of printing a copy out. This is perfect for what I needed. Haven't tried any games yet but will experiment. The one you got may be better for that with more memory.

Not actually sure if that will be true. I am worried about the Christmas season. I read some link on HK website about sending christmas mail. Then I think China has some 2 month Holiday coming up.

Yeah I learned from last year before about the Chinese New Year. None of the vendors in the US had anything in stock for a long time. This year I made sure to have all battery and devices prior. I DIY so all that comes from the US.

Hopefully this order makes it through I should be set with the delivery devices.

I do want some knives though..

Well I placed a trial order. Just the 6 in 1 USB port I needed. Sp not hp to see if it goes any better.

I ordered a HMDI cable for like 59 cents from Hong Kong. It said something like 45 day mail time (this was not from fasttech). I forgot I even ordered it. One day a small unmarked package came in the mail and my wife freaked out. I came home from work and she said what the heck (well not exactly) did you order this time. I always get the blame. I said I don't know why didn't you open it?

Lo and behold it was my HDMI cable. Best of all it worked. Dangit I should have got like 10 of them.

If you would please explain how my order not containing liquid or batteries with all items being in stock ships out on the 17th of October two days before two other orders placed on the same day both of which contained batteries one order of egos which have arrived first on Oct 28th and the other a k1001 kit which was returned to FT and resent and still arrived on Nov 3rd. ...
I understand every order is being scanned and the wait it longer than usual, I understand it coming from "half way around the world", This is not my first FT order. , I'm not in a hurry for the order, but I'm not about to throw money away.
So should I sit on my .... like everyone else and let the clock run and then preach "It's only money oh well better luck next time"

Wish I had your money.

So what do you feel is the appropriate time frame before taking action, please do tell?\

BTW I have received the same copy/paste response from FT twice now this week

If I thought like you I would buy local so as not to be scared about every single delay.

I wish I had your money. If I spend $100 at FT and it takes 3 months to get to me, then assuming a good rate of 12% per annum if I had invested the money then my Goods have cost me $103 in real terms. You are raising a paypal dispute and cancelling your order and so you will pay far more by buying locally.

I have patience because I do not have YOUR money. If you want to spend extra and buy locally then it's not because you can't afford to leave your cash with FT for a few weeks ( or even 3 months).

My concerns would be there is no remote. Unless there is bluetooth its gonna be tough plugging in a mouse or keyboard unless it works with your tv remote.

I do have google tv and lets just say it is still in its infancy. Pretty crappy apps and none in development.

Not sure what apps you would be able to use but other than Amazon, Netflix and a couple others I don't use the apps on the tv.

Nice for plug and play if you are always on the go so you could just plug in it to a tv as long as you had wifi access.

So 70 bucks in total? Not a bad deal, but if just looking for streaming a Roku would be cheaper even though I hate non keyboard remotes.

I have a sony media player. I like the touch pad on back and full keyboard on other side of it. Again the apps are crap though. The way it searches Directtv , Amazon and Netflix for something to watch is pretty darn cool though.

Can you explain what this does in language an old timer can understand? I am curious.

You connect the miniTV (in fact, a device with a full blown Android operating system installed) in your TV, or any other display. There are tons of apps and games, you can watch videos, listen to music, etc. I'm very fond of it. Much better than to have a computer in your living room, or use a relatively little notebook display.
