It also appears that some battery orders like ego's are making it through and some aren't for whatever reason I'm pretty upset about my order being returned to fasttech,Was really anticipating it.My friend recently had one battery in his order and tracking says it will be shipped out of china tommorrow.Best thing probably is place multiple orders,Like order something wait till its accepted then place another order ect.If I knew this was going to happen I would've gone about the order differently. But I have to say they responded to my Messages fast and returned the money quickly.
Well, the shipping problems have turned things upside-down for them, Unfortunately. their entire model was built around and dependent on it. For the last couple of months, they have been struggling like a rat swimming upstream in a flooded storm sewer... trying to maintain and clinging to the hope that the shipping issues would fade like they always have before. They kept putting people off further and further, waiting for the sunshine to break through the clouds, then it never did. Then, a lot of people started disputing the charges and pulling refunds when they didn't get their orders in 3-4 weeks, and the packages ended up being delivered to them anyway. They then went on to consider these packages gifts rather than return the items to FastTech. That's why FT got so strict about refunds.
to top it ALL off, HKP started changing the tracking numbers on random shipments and not notifying FastTech OR the customer. Then, FastTech has NO clue where the package is, or if it ever got delivered... they were still tracking an old number that is now rendered invalid.
Well, that all blew up on them and I think they finally realized they were going down fast. They realized they needed to shift their focus to customer service and deal with things quickly. That's why refunds are getting issued more quickly and tickets are starting to get quicker response times. Sounds like there are still problems, but it is obvious that they are trying to adjust and do the right thing.
FastTech is getting screwed pretty hard (along with all other Chinese vendors in this area of sales). The problem is, they are taking far too long to adjust. I think they STILL don't have an option for shipping batteries, not even by container ship... whatever that would be called. Just about every person here would be THRILLED to be able to order FastTech batteries and accept 4-6 week shipping time if necessary... as long as we know it's actually gonna GET here sooner or later. FastTech doesn't seem to be responding to that idea in any way, and I don't understand why.
The part about it all is that the batteries FastTech is shipping are completely allowed by IATA regulations. The Chinese have just taken it upon themselves to ban ANY battery from flying... and it's killing everyone in this business. I don't expect it to last unless there is something political in nature driving this whole thing. No one seems to know what their motivation really is for going so far above and beyond what is already considered safe by the IATA.
