I wasn't looking for a general reply to my question ... I am very well aware of what season it is, and the increase in market demand during this time of the year, as well as some increase in transit time ... Being a former internet retailer myself, I am no stranger to doing business with China. I wanted to know specifically about the current transit time to the US, from Fasttech AT THIS TIME. This includes order processing, and shipping.
I want to know if using Singapore Post has made overall transit times better, ie: processing through the postal facility. So far anyone who has ordered from Fasttech within the last 15 days, that can offer some feedback, I appreciate it.
Well.
I have an order that was placed on Nov17th, and shipped out on Nov 22nd. It has just made it thru LAX. 24 days and counting.
The reason it took 5 days to ship was because the item was on a 3 day backorder, and it went on a bit longer. It was specifically a brass neme clone.
I did make an order this weekend, all little things like drip tips and stuff that all said were in stock or ships next day. And that went into packaging last night, and now I have a tracking number. I placed this order specifically with china post e-packet shipping, which is also free to the US on orders over $15.
So, I think their processing is about the same as it always was. It is mostly dependent on what is ordered. The hot new clone that just got put up today? Yeah, you are gonna wait 5 or 10 days(or more...look at the caravela) before it ships.
Something that is not in that high of demand? Much quicker, and basically the same it always was.
Now, imo, if you use the general singapore post shipping, which is the free usps shipping option over $15, expect increased time from what you were used to. I was used to 10-14 days on average shipping time to the east coast of the US using Hong Kong post. From looking at mine and others shipping, I would say you are looking at 20-25 days average now.
However, there are other free shipping options to the US when an order is over $15. You can select several, even the old HKP. I am expecting about a 2 week shipping time with china post epacket, although it is very close to christmas now, so...who knows. From what I have been reading, HKP is about the same times as it always was.
So. Processing time is about the same as it always was. Singapore post is adding a week or 2 to shipping times, but you have other options which should be faster. Singapore post though for ego type batteries...and I think liquid, although I am not sure on the liquid part. Loose batteries are still a crapshoot. I think they added malyasia post for that though, and well...DHL(costly).
