Seriously Maggs, you should at least be giving things a cursory rinse. Stuff gets left behind during the manufacturing process. Stuff that is not good for us. Just rinsing in warm water will take care of most of it.

I do sniff at them and visually check for bits and burrs...:) Strangely enough, my stuff works well first time 98% of the time.

Believe me, I am a normally precautious person, just not OCD, and I simply, frowardly refuse to join in the FT forum's general hysterics. If I don't trust the stuff I buy, I don't buy it!:vapor:

I've got no problem when others choose not to give them a quick clean before using. I don't think it's an OCD thing to do it though, more like just generally a good idea. I can see a person at the factory thinking.. man, I sure hope people are washing this stuff off lol.

Nothing to do with hysterics, I've used silverware I've bought without washing it first which some people find nasty lol. But I figure, hey, it's in a box, I'm good. Different story if I'm heating a device up to inhale it though, for me anyways.

Not trying to convince you to change your ways, just stating for the random person that there's nothing wrong with cleaning these before using and that a lot of us do it. Don't need to be a germaphobe to do it.

i never used to clean anything either but decided to put my first batch of FT drippers into the ultrasonic for several 3 minute cycles. when they came out the water was brown and i had to scrape a layer of sludge from the bottom of the UC.

just put my second batch in a little while ago. 2 cycles and the water resembles strong tea.

Ewww! Are these fresh from the FT, or well used?

Sold some of my original ft vape gear and placed another order for stuff I know I like. Technically I'm still sticking to my budget. :)

Februarys order has been shipped and this order should ship Wednesday via HKP. I'll be set for the year but will still probably spend my monthly allowance on stuff I don't need.

Well the 2 vamos I ordered on Jan. 3 still have not shipped. I opened a ticket a week or so ago because it indicated shipping in 2-3 days. They've been good about giving me updates but if it's not shipped now (and out of stock due to a production problem), then it's not going to ship by Jan. 25. I just told them to cancel and give me a refund. I'll reorder again in March :(.

Well, my Sweden Post stuff finally arrived. (Those are the three packages fasttech switched from ePacket to Sweden Post because they contained ego batteries.)

Anyway, on average they seemed to take about as long, maybe a day or two longer, than Singapore Post. There are two things I don't like about it. One is that the tracking is very minimal but I can live with that. The other is much more annoying - I had to sign for the packages. This might not be a big deal to some but I'm a nurse that works nights - getting to the Post Office between 9AM and 4PM is difficult because that's when I'm sleeping.

Note to self: avoid Sweden Post.

I've got a couple of orders with stuff that's due to ship on the 24th. Wonder if it's actually going to make it before the holiday or not?

I'm curious - does the postal system also pretty much shut down during their New Year? In other words, even if Fasttech gets it out, might it sit in a customs warehouse for a couple of weeks before leaving the country?

There is just so much trouble and conflicting information and so many ...... off customers clogging CS there lately, and now the Chinese New Year ... FT can wait for my money, if any, until springtime. Just found an iTaste V3 for about the same price here in the US, a couple bucks for shipping and a hassle free company are worth it for my needs. But some of their cheap crap does rock when you can get it and if you can wait for it and if it isn't damaged lol

Don't know if this is a record but I'd say they did well by me.
Ordered an iTaste SVD (s'posed to be "authentic") on 1-11-14, arrived here in the PNW about 20 minutes ago. 7 days start to finish.
Thing works out o' the box and for what I paid I s'pose if it continues to work for a few months.... all good (-:
