The fasttech evod that I got came with a DOA coil. The coil that came in it doesn't look like it would have worked very well anyways. I put in a kanger evod coil and it is working great. The build quality on the rest of the unit seems to be pretty close to my kanger evods. Replacing the coil with a kanger version does eat up most of the savings and in the future I'll probably just get real kangers, but the fasttech versions seem to be good quality.

As for shipping I ordered on 5/31, had items that said ships in 3 days. The order shipped on 6/3 and I had it on 6/10. Can't complain one bit about that. The evod that was sent to me should have been a vivi nova (similar sku #'s), I decided to keep it to test out and take a gift code for the difference in price as I had more stuff I wanted to order and wanted to compare there evods to my kanger versions. They also offered to send me the vivi nova and I could send the wrong one to there office in Miami.

The battery I had changed the voltage with 5 button presses, but there was no way to turn it off.

thats a big problem if you are carrying it in your pocket.

Probably has to do with customs and import fees.
Cheaper for FT to stick it on the customer if customs hits it with duty and cheaper for the customer if they don't.

If they sent a huge shipment to the Miami office it would definitely get hit with fees. I don't even think they'd have a limit cut off for duty like when shipping out to individuals.

That's why I do numerous small orders, then if one gets stopped by customs any duty won't be too bad.

it wasn't a matter of not making up my mind it was more a case of .... JESUS H CHRIST!!!! at THAT price I REALLY REALLY could NOT walk away .... you must have heard about the "raping" we are gettin here in the UK on Prices & Availability ....its either

A. you CANNOT get it AT ALL

or

B. you CAN get it but you have to pull yer trousers down & lean over a Barrel & get "Taken" ...

On second thoughts DO NOT read B. its put a pic in my head that I'd rather not have ... (going to the bathroom now to wash my brain in Bleach!!!!) .. LOL!!!! .....

But seriously at the prices fastech are charging I could be a VERY RICH guy if I only added just 10% to their prices ...... its a bit like Petrol (or Gas as you guys call it) ... Would YOU guys pay £7.05 GBP for ONE GALLON of Gas!!! (thats $11 a Gallon to you guys)

Our government Should supply us each with a barrel so we can Bend over it with our Trousers down !!!!!

When I got home l opened up the t4 and looked at the head. Meh. The wick looked like hell to me. Most likely a fiberglass deal. I didn't want to waste any juice so I took it apart. But alas, the wick hole is extremely small! I made a 3mm wick, 5 wraps, 32 kanthal and it barely fit. Burnt hits. Oh no. I thought to myself this needs 2mm. But I had an idea. I read on here that the evod heads probably wouldn't work in the t4. I wanted to try it anyway. Iteworks! The genuine Kanger evod heads work fine in the t4. The clouds were plenty full.

Moral of the story. Trash the heads that come with the t4, use evod heads. Even stock they work great.

It's not just GVT taxed things.

Cheapest delivered evod I could find in the Uk was £7.75. ($12.20)
I can get one delivered from FT for just over $3

Ok, need some advice here...........

was looking at ordering some Evods and watched pbusardos vid on how to re-wick, seems easy enough, however capacity is a bit low, then I see the T4's, larger capacity and looks like you can use a regular drip tip. Does anyone know if these are re-wicked in the same manner and if anyone's had experince with either...... tia!

All in all the t4s are ok. Nothing amazing, they work as good as the evod head I put in it. It's just not the prettiest thing lol. A bit on the long side. I prefer the evod.

To me the eVod is really small. If it's T3 sized I'll be what I wanted.

Absolutely no leaking on either of the ones i have. Standard 510 drip tips fit fine. At first, I felt it was a little slow wicking, I think it's broken in now as I no longer notice any issue (or maybe I just learned to vape a wee bit slower). I would buy a boatload if they weren't polycarbonate plastic, since so many of my flavors are tank crackers.
