I just got my my first order from fastech "CRAP" I bought the 7 evod's for $21. Filled the first evod, the vape had a very strong machine oil taste. Since machine oil is recycled and I no idea of what heavy metals may have been machined before they machine my evod's. I consider them unsafe.

I only ordered two of them. Washed both of them and let air dry. Filled up one, and it smoked great, tasted great. Second one was horrible! I had my husband rebuild the head on it yesterday. He put the normal wraps to it like he always does for my different heads...kept getting below 2.0 ohms...don't know what was up with that? He finally was able to get it up to 2.1 and he said he refused to do another one! LOL Here's the thing...when I now put that one on my battery, screwed all the way down, it keeps getting a short..I have to loosen it till it is VERY loose on my battery, before it will fire.

Back on topic, sorry bout that...what I was getting at, is washing mine didn't get the nasty horrible taste out of it...took a rebuild.

I would recommend you don't use it. If it keeps shorting the coil is unstable. You could end up shorting your battery. If it were me I'd toss it.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:laugh:

ITASTE VV/VW

Within the week. I would like one of these - basically a variable wattage device that's ego size but with a cooler form factor. Getting very good reviews right now.
Now we wait to see if they will actually have them in stock or if its going to to be "5 business days". Either way I would expect people to be all over it if they price it right.

Thanks, Skypea! My husband has some X2's from Volt that are the same size as the eGo batts. The first ones they made didn't come with the five click shut-off. These might come in handy for him! I ordered my first eGo-T kit from Cignot and their customer service is great! I was having some problems with my atomizers and Vicky talked me through fixing them. She is very helpful!

Lol pretty much. Hey I know this is the FT thread but here is the link for the 50 cent button covers. Genuine JOy. ;)

My order has shown "Processed through USPS sort facility" in Burlingame since Thursday, and the other two are still "Origin Post is preparing shipment" since last Thursday. Agony. I'm in agony.

That's no good. Both of my present orders are def taking longer than my 1st and 2nd order. It's been 10 days since the 3rd order was placed and it's been in "Orgin post preparing for shipment" for 3 days. FT did get it out when it was supposed to, just looks like usps is slacking. The 4th order was shipped out the same day but usps is slacking on updating that info too.

After the first few times of trying to get it to fire, and finally figuring out what it takes to get it to fire, I switched it to a Kanger head. He's having a hard time getting the rubber grommet (sp?) thingy to go back in at the bottom...down that hole, with the head that came with the FT Evod. . That's why he finally gave up on it..was taking WAY to long to get that back in. The one that came with this head, wasn't a brown/tan looking color like with the Kanger heads...this was a very flimsy clear one, that just kept bending every time he tried to put it back in.

My first usps order from them has been shipped for a day or two and has been through the Hong Kong sorting.

I feel alot better using usps than singapore post.

The t4 is working great. I know I mentioned rebuilding, of course it's not required. Just use am evod head for great results. I didn't use the stock head because of the way it looks. It may work perfectly I just didn't try it.

Always pays to give any new clearo's a good rinse in warm water.

I did rinse them. I always do that. I have been around to many machine shops, not to know machine oil. It tastes just like machine oil smells. Also, since machine oil is designed for high temps it will not burn off easy and even if it burns off the contaminates will be left including any heavy metals from other jobs that the machine shop did with their tools prior to making the heads. Machine oil is expenses so machine shops keep recycling the oil through their tools using the same oil for months, just adding to it as needed.

Many machine shops when they do replace the cutting oil have to send out the old oil as toxic wast.

Do you think that the standards and practices at the Chinese factories for this one is that different than the Chinese factory that makes the one you buy here in the us?

That just means all the packages are still in Hong Kong waiting for there to be enough to fly to America. It keeps them from flying planes that aren't full enough to send money. It can take a while, apparently, but mine arrived stateside today, so I'm assuming yours did too! Now, they just need to make it to me!
