In the best interest if your bitty fingers I have refrained from posting my tracking numbers on ECF. (But I have sent them to CASAA.)

:D yes thank you! Attempting to handle my giant new mod while scrolling through the thread and copy/pasting is putting quite the strain on my little bitty girly fingers

As an ECF member since 2010, and one who's been absent for a couple of years ... I wanted to come back and make sure that I submitted my comments and luckily I just got in the door. Just in time. Barely. Commenting here again reminds me of all of the beautiful people that I met years ago and how they truly restored my faith in humanity. Generosity and support of the likes I'd never seen before. You know who you are.

Without further ado, here is a copy of my submission. It was the best I could do under short notice. I didn't even know the details of what was happening until today. Thank you ECF, all the members and admins!

Comment Tracking Number: 1jy-8dou-6fpn (will also be forwarded to CASAA)

To the FDA: Regarding regulations proposed by the FDA in regards to electronic cigarettes.

Please allow electronic cigarettes to be sold in their present form as they are the gift of life for those, like myself, that cannot quit smoking and have been addicted to cigarettes by the tobacco companies.

My personal story is short but is an appropriate example in these dangerous times that may change regulations that are helping Americans.

In 2010 I bought my first electronic cigarette fueled by a huge desire to quit smoking as it was affecting my health. I drove 20 miles to purchase the ecig kit and after trying my first ecig, for the first time in 22 years I drove a car without smoking a tobacco cigarette. 4 years later, completely smoke free and many regular medical check ups afterwards, I can now breathe better and function better in all aspects of my life, thanks to the usage of electronic cigarettes.

Cigarette addiction is a very serious fact and a tremendous burden on our health care system. Ecigs allow a user to taper down on the nicotine intake to an eventual zero and succeeds where nicotine patches and other forms of quitting have failed. With ecigs, one truly can stop smoking and having a choice of flavors is the key to being able to quit smoking and have an alternative. Once the correct flavor is found, the desire to smoke a real tobacco cigarette will go away (hence why a large choice of flavors exist and need to always be available).

This is the most revolutionary product any smoker alive has ever experienced. It has been the gift of life for me and millions of others. The health benefits cannot be denied when one can breathe again and one becomes active again. Testimony after testimony supports this.

If a life saving product like this becomes illegal it would be the cruelest injustice that can be done to any human being that has for years, even decades, tried to quit smoking or have an alternative to smoking unsuccessfully. I stand in favor of electronic cigarettes and I wish the United States government could show some understanding and compassion.

I have finished collecting all the tracking numbers posted to this thread. The only ones I didn't grab were the ones where the member stated in the post that they sent it to CASAA. The total number was 51.

I have compiled a list of those tracking numbers, mine (the last 22 comments I made), and my mother's, and I sent them all to CASAA :)

I just want to say I feel moved and grateful to be part of such a great community! We all came together seamlessly for a great cause and turned our individual voices into a roar that begs attention even from the most powerful among us.
Very well done everyone!!!

I love you ECF and I promise I will never leave you again! (except in the case of a post-apocalyptic reality where there is no internet :D)

Go forth, live strong and vape on!! :vapor:

However you can still comment on the comments. So if you want to go beat up on ANTZspeak have at it. No idea how long the "comment on the comments" period will remain open.

I stand corrected..

If the last 3 hours of the comments stick, then apparently the FDA doesn't abide by its own rules? I guess Glantz and his buddies over in CA needed some extra time...

I wish I could have submitted some more during that time, but I'm honestly burnt out.. I even stayed away a lot from ECF so I could save my energy & focus.. But, I believe I said pretty much everything I wanted to say.. Definitely no regrets here...

My haul = 9 comments on 9 different topics, with 5 of them submitted in the final 24 hours..

I understand it's quality over quantity, but I believe the final comment tally will be really low, way lower than it should be..

I know it's summertime and all, but I really don't get that.. It's too bad more vapers don't give a hoot...

Well done! :thumb: it is quality over quantity, but all of our quantity has a lot of quality, kwim? So yeah, we may not have a million "I am an adult cigar smoker..." comments, but the fact that each and every one of our comments is unique and thoughtful makes them speak volumes over all the ones that are just forms people are filling out ;)

Good morning everyone.

My eyes have tears in them. Those tears represent all the heart and soul of thousands of vapers that have shared their stories and experiences. They represent the vapers that were willing to put their soul into a battle we never imagined we would have to fight. In some cases, lives were at great risk until they found vaping.

I applaud each and every one of you.

Thank you

I wanted mine to be in tune with others, so I perused many comments on the FDA site before composing my own. It reads as follows:

"As an adult I enjoy a big, fat, premium cigar whenever I get the chance. Unfortunately, whenever I light up my wife cries, 'Ewwwww' and leaves the house. I haven't seen her since early July, actually. Last I heard she was in Rio with the plumber. I am thinking of switching to an e-cigarette. A big fat one. Are these legal? It should taste like a cigar.
Save my marriage. Thank you."
