Kendra, why dont you order the prodigy and have a refund from me? Please do it. Dont say just words, take actions without talking too much. I am waitintg for the GG tomorow and I will refund the same day I take it. And dont order from me again, I hope you will keep your promise
The problem is not simply inserting a new button by following instructions.
From what Imeo has said is that it is a whole different button assembly in that the GG case needs threading in the button hole and the end cap at the button end needs modifications. These things a user would not be able to do.
This is just my opinion but what is beyond me is that when a fix can be made by simply spraying on a coat of clear varnish to the outside of the GG case - why not just do it???
I think this whole situation has been blown out of proportion. If you stick your finger in a light socket - you're going to get frizzled. So you don't do it do you? If you put your GG on metal - you're going to fry an atty. So you don't do it do you??
Sure it is a safety issue - but it is an issue that can be solved with a clear coat of varnish. So go figure!!
As for the locking button - well that is simply an upgrade and upgrades cost money. All of the other big boys on the market don't have locking buttons.
If you think the GG 510 adapter is unreasonably priced - hop over to Puresmoker and look at what the 510 adapter for the Prodigy cost with shipping.

As for the mechanical miracle, I will say to forum this to show what some people do and they have problems.
When you send GG back to me with a "problem", you had put a second spring over the old one!!! When I saw it I almost get crazy. The second spring touched the case and a short happened all the time. Exept that I had asked you if the insulant was in place and you said yes so I was looking for other solutions when the insulant was not ok.
And you believe that if I send you the parts you will make it right? I think that you will kill yourself.

Yes it can be fixed with a clear coat of varnish (maybe) but that's not the consumers responsibility. It's the manufacturers responsibility to fix a safety related problem on a product that has been sold to the public...... and yes $50 is absolutely unreasonable for an adapter IMO.... Ok so I went to Puresmoker and theirs is $29. It's machined out of a piece of billet aluminum with a brass adapter inserted in the middle. The production cost would be substantially more than a single piece of threaded brass.
Is there a way that I can save the shipping rjg? And is there a reason that I am "him" while you are rjg? Is it sad that I want to put the locked button with 12 euros? Is it sad that that I recall GG when no one else did it when all of them had to do it because they fire everywhere?
And something for kendra you want to help I suppose. Its not the first time that Kendra has this attitute. Its the second one. With her style she believes that she will take what she wants.
Well Kendra you will not take anything else, because you dont know how to behave. I will give you a refund and go for prodigy. You will save money because its cheaper that GG.
As for if the GG is immortal, it is for sure but if you have a little problem you make it so big like an erthquake. And dont put 2 springs to the cap again
cjalvino, I asked for 12 euros to give you the locked button too, because its a chance now. When will you have it again?. If you dont want it no problem send it back for free to give you only the new button without the locking option. I give a unique option to the market with 5 euros to all my clients (the other 7 are my shipping) and you are not ok? Think about it.
As for the 50$ adapter why are 50$? I think they are 24 euros. Dont tell me about shipping because shipping is shipping and nothing else. This is everywhere.

I won't be sending mine for recall. I have a case and know not to put my GG on metal surfaces and keep it in the case. I also plan on buying a Trans anyway and use the grant as backup.

When I purchased the GG, I took into consideration the fact that *IF* it ever needed servicing I would need to send it half way across the world from where I'm located. Takes longer and costs more. I was willing to accept that inconvenience to get the product I wanted.
I feel the solution to the button issue is fair and equitable. Everyone has the choice to participate or not - or implement an alternate solution as some have suggested - or even pitch a hissy fit.
I'll be returning mine for the upgrade. My choice. The only problem I have is how I'm going to manage without it.
