Just remember 18" barrel and 26" over all is shortest you can go without registering it as a short barrel rifle (SBR). A 16" barrel w/ pinned flash hider to bring it to 18" is fine.

Looks like BCM is back logged for most of their stuff. I was checking out Palmetto last night. Also found this joint--any opinions on them?

If you have any good links to places I should go for info or parts please post 'em up.

DSA is huge in the FAL world with a great rep. But I have no experience or have heard much about their AR stuff.

USPS screwed up royally with some gun parts. I was sending 3 slides out to get Tanifer'd. An EMP, XDS and XDm compact. I packed them nicely and sent them to a shop in Alabama. I got a call from the coater in AL when he recieved them. He said that the box broke and all the slides fell out in USPS's hands. The EMP slide got pretty banged up. He fixed it and coated all 3. On Monday he sent them back to me. Well, on the tracking sight it says that they were "misshiped", whatever the hell that means. It's no small wonder why USPS is going belly up.

Well, got the slides back from the coater. The Springfield EMP 9mm slide is trashed. Visually it looks fine. But it got beat up to the point where the barrel to slide lock up is off. Good lock up is essential for accuracy. It binds on 3 spots when I try to put the slide on the frame. It's trash. Looks like USPS is buying a new EMP for me. It's a $1,200 pistol with the upgraded grips that I had.

The Springfield XDS and XDm look great! I went with Gunkote Leupold Bronze. Name is self explanatory. On the XDS it's solid LB. On the XDm, my gun that I mod the crap out of, James told me about something new he was doing: a bronze or other color base and a smokey, wispy black over coat. What the hell? If I don't like it, he'll re do it.
