Very nice weapons, Taphandle. I especially like your Ruger wheelies. Also, the A2 stock on the Stag is pure class.

The Kobra Carry is gorgeous, also. I love the scales.

Thanks Shat, the Kobra is awsome in every way, one of my favorites.

Best gun show find: Ruger flat top 44mag 7.5" barrel.

Thanks man. It does it if the slide is half pulled back, or gently let forward. But if you rack it, or release from locked it's all good. Don't know how much it was fired. Was a gift, and it was purchased used. I've only run less than 50-75 through it. Will check into a spring and see if that cures it.

Failure to return to battery is fairly common if you only push the slide back a bit. When doing a press check to see if there's one in the pipe, whack the back of the slide to make sure it's in battery. I don't think it'd hurt to get a new guide rod spring or assembly if it's a captive spring.

Missed this on my response. Yes, It's a Yugo - Zastava parts kit, The Century Arms It'l. monkeys built it but, it's one they got right!

ETA: Before anyone puts a negative "PC" connotation on "monkeys", it's in reference to the reputation CAI had for a while a few years back that their weapons were built so shoddily, no human could've been involved in the assembly process and they must've brought in monkeys from the local zoo to do the work...

Century is hit or miss. But if you got a good one that's all that matters.

Once again, thanks. As soon as I recover from this saiga, the extra mags, and the bulk ammo purchase(s)(lol)...I'll pick up a guide rod & spring.

Thanks. I like the look and feel of it too. Even with 16 rounds, it feels well balanced in my hand. The action is smooth as silk. And since I purchaced from a local shop, they give you 30 days of unlimited range time. Im hoping the wife lets me keep a part of my allowance so I can buy enough rounds to start breaking it in. Its crazy, the last time I bought ammo, I dont remember it being nearly this expensive.

Very nice! You're going to love your XD. Are you planning on using it just for range time and home defense? Or are you going to carry?
