We all know the standard benefits of vaping compared to smoking. But I have had even more benefits than those. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I notice that whenever I am vaping something like Mt. Dew or Cheesecake, I do not care to eat either of those! As a matter of fact, I almost never crave sweets anymore. As a result of this I have lost weight and am in the best shape I have been in for years according to my doctor. So, like I said, the health benefits to vaping keep adding up for me! So, does anyone else relate to this? Let me hear your stories!

Shortly (weeks) after switching to vaping, my hands were no longer numb when I wake up in the morning. It hasn't happened since. It was an every morning thing for a few years. I don't know what caused it. A few shakes and clenches typically worked the numbness out.

I didn't even noticed it stopped until someone else posted about it here.

Before I started vaping I coud barely go up and down stairs without having to stop and catch my breath. Now I can run up and down stairs repeatedly without huffing and puffing.

When I was on analogs every morning my hands would be numb, tingling and during the day sometimes the bottoms of my legs would feel numb. I knew this was a circulation problem due to smoking. Once I started vaping all numbness has stopped.

I hear ya, I as well had the numbness and circulation issues. I was hoping for all of that to subside once I quit analogs. But man, I didn't even realize that once you start to vape these flavors that it would help with the actual food craving too! I used to drink about 100 ounces of Mt. Dew a day! Now after having that in my regular juice rotation I do not drink it at all! I could go on and on with a list of foods and drinks, but we will leave it at that one example! Awesome!

Absolutely! I was actually a pretty casual smoker. I could buy a pack or two, smoke them and then not even think about smoking for a few months. The exception is when I was trying to lose weight (which I'm working on now). I didn't want to start smoking again (I'd been clean for over 8 months), but I knew I would once I started cutting back on the calories. Enter vaping.

Vaping has absolutely helped me curb food cravings and maintain a healthier diet. If I get a sweets craving I vape a sweet juice.

Vaping has also help me cut back on the # of beers I have in a week. I've found that instead of having a beer or two after a long day at work I come home and have a vape instead.

No more morning cough, my circulation and heart rate has improved. I'm actually finding it easier to lose belly fat (I'd gotten in pretty good shape before I quit smoking, but could never lose the belly fat). Also, after a few years of smoking, I got bronchitis literally every time I got sick, which was often, at least once a month. So far it's been two months, and no bronchitis :)

Don't forget mental health, y'all.

Smoking meant being a pariah, ashamed, embarrassed about my addiction, worried about quitting, worried that I wouldn't be able to quit, worried about my wife's disdain, etc. That's quite a lot of distress, and that can't be good for me. All that disappeared when I switched, and was replaced with enthusiasm, optimism, an engaging and rewarding hobby, membership in a new peer interest group, and (dare I say it?) a certain measure of smug self-satisfaction. :)

Okay my friend, you hit the nail on the head sir. Took the words out of my mouth! Hell yeah on every single point you made! I did forget to mention this. And you are right, everyday when I was a smoker was like a challenge to become a "good person" by quitting. And at the end of the day with another pack under my belt I went to bed feeling ashamed of myself. Not anymore! Good call sir, good call!!!:vapor:

No longer falling on the ground, coughing up an entire lung and reaching for my inhaler. No longer getting frequent dizzy spells. No longer loosing my breath every time I have to move for long periods of time. No longer worried I smell like utter crap. Inhaling better tasting flavors. Still feel like a pariah, though! Lots of people ask me what that massive black PVC-looking pipe attached to a giant tank of liquid is. Guess that's what happens when you vape with a big bat mod and carto-tank. =P

I don't know if it's just me but I haven't had a cold or even a sniffle for over two years since I started vaping. I don't recall ever not having at least one bout of a cold per year ..ever! Plus over this same time period my wife has had several really bad colds. She never smoked so there is no need for her to vape.....unless... lol.

Oh man, same here! Normally I would have had multiple bouts this season, but nothing! Good point about your wife not being a smoker.....unless! I have had some vapers tell me they keep certain juices on hand that if they start to feel sick they will vape them and it seems to nip it in the bud! I'm telling ya, this is good stuff!

I just quit smoking and switched to vaping yesterday, so I only have 24 hours of experience (literally). But in that 24 hours, I have not used my inhaler once. I used to also drink 5-6 sodas a day (usually while smoking - it dried out my mouth or something), haven't had 1. I haven't felt the urge to snack either. One of the main reasons I wanted to quit smoking was to bring down my asthma (seemingly accomplished) and to help put an end to the bronchitis I get every time I get a sniffle. Well, that and live longer and avoid lung cancer and the like. I'm completely thrilled that the effects seem so immediate! I wasn't even expecting to kick the soda habit too!

The strange thing for me is that my eyesight is better. A couple of months ago I thought I was going to have to get new glasses because I couldn't read from a distance as well as I used to, street signs were tough to read. But since I started vaping I've seen a big improvement. Maybe it's coincidence or because my sinuses are clearer also, but I'm giving vaping all the credit on this one.
