Ok, i'v been trying to get a GG for a few weeks now but haven't been able to catch one in stock, and now imeothanasis is making the GG transformer's, and they won't be up for sale for another two weeks. (ahhhggg) So with shippin' time and all that jazz, i won't be able to have one on my doorstep for a good 3 to 4 weeks. Sooooooo, i had to take matters into my own hands if i want to get 6 volts of vapor down my lungs in the time between....well here is the result of my efforts. The inner body is made of Teak, and the dark outer wood is made of Ziricote. The rest is just few springs from an old rc car, a momentary switch i had lay'n around, a dead 510 battery for the atty connection, and two cr2's to light it all up.

How do you get the batt apart to use it as a female connector? is there a "safe" way?

first i took the little fake "cherry" off the end of the battery, then using some needle nosed pliers just grabbed the actual "cell" and pulled, it is attached to a very small circit board that is under the button by just a small wire that can be broke very easily with a little tug. Then take out the board and button...then you are free to cut the case a bit shorter if you wish.
I didn't think it would be unsafe in any case as the battery is so small that i can't imagine even if it was arc'd with the plier's that anything bad would happen. hope that helps.

Paradiso - right there with ya. I have been working on a tubular oak one for my Dad. He was a Carpenter, so was his Father. I think he will really like it. He used to actually have a pair of wooden frames for his glasses (back in the 80's), but some schmuck busted them. Made by an outfit in France that went out of business.

How about a nice pipe? With a 123 in the pot.
