Lol, Still not getting your point actually...
It's a bit stupid to go way over 10 Watts anyway so... really don't see where you're going with this info you're giving.

ok SyncA just because you don't go over 10 watts many of us do, it is like what coil or wick we all like it is personal preference. But there are ways to do it and know what you are doing and why.

I was just making a point that pushing an AW IMR 18350 battery @ 7 amps would be a bad idea.
If you read back someone suggested 7 amps drawn off an 18350 was in the safe range.

Edit: sorry it was said 7A was in the danger zone. I'd say it was uncomfortably in the danger zone...

Correct, it's in the danger zone, it's not safe. I didn't say it was fine....I did re-read my post and I'm not going to edit as I think it says that it's not a good idea. In my experience 7amps is what will push a 350 past it's limit and the number is there for illustrative purposes not a suggestion that you should go up to 7. I fire nothing that's more then half the amp limit of a battery, that's my personal threshold. I keep 30AMP MNKE's around for a reason :)

Agreede Zack....

One last thing to add to the mix.....folks are putting out some decent $$$ for these great APV's.....DONT go looking for good deals on cheap batteries!!!!
Average price for for good batts in in the $9-$12 range....and they can last a good long time if taken care of....think about it....250-300 charge cycles...at perhaps once a day for the majority of vapers...almost a years worth of usage....hmmm....thats like $1 a month?
Very acceptable return on investment I believe...

Wouldn't a lot of this already have been known if people read the reference pages? Does everybody just skip this? I was having a lot of hotspot problems, but I sat down with my phone and Envy and read through it all. It worked out.

Thats the main issue ....folks are not investing time in research like they should.....they are just jumping on the wagon and blindly crossing their fingers hoping it will turn out to be a good ride.

Bravo to you for accepting responsibilty and digging for your own answers. :toast: You are going to be fine in the vaping world.:2cool:

Just as important tho, the charger used, and a meter so you know you are not over charging or running it down too low, both of which will lead to shorter battery life

No worries I just misread your post. I agree whole heartedly with you on battery safety. I've had lipo batteries of only 150mah puff then go off like a road flare. Completely burned down one of my micro rc helis. It was pretty impressive for a battery the size of a stick of trident gum.

It scares the hell out
Of me when people talk of doing things like twisting 28g to use as a coil. Chain vaping a 4/3 of twisted 32 causes my 18490's to warm a bit even with my kick.

Ok then your point would've been valid;)

You go way above 10watts? (like 20+ watts?) Seems to me like those temperatures are not needed to vaporize your juice. Or allot of the heat is lost. Thing is, if you go way beyond 10watts (read higher temps) you'll prolly be making more and more "bad stuff". At certain temperatures PG as well as VG and most other stuff in there will break down into illness (cancer?) causing byproducts.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not stating to know it all, I'm just repeating tidbits of what I've read elsewhere.
