You go way above 10watts? (like 20+ watts?) Seems to me like those temperatures are not needed to vaporize your juice. Or allot of the heat is lost. Thing is, if you go way beyond 10watts (read higher temps) you'll prolly be making more and more "bad stuff". At certain temperatures PG as well as VG and most other stuff in there will break down into illness (cancer?) causing byproducts.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not stating to know it all, I'm just repeating tidbits of what I've read elsewhere.

No I don't go far over 10 watts, but you didn't say in your comment far over 10 you said over 10. Many vapers are finding they like 10-12 watts, not so high as to cause the issues you are talking about but enough over things like the kick don't work well for us. Still it is high enough you need to know what you are doing.

ITs great to bring up things heard SyncA...it helps to clear the air of BS being spread around if thats the case.

also....new vapers are watching youtube and see these folks vaping at skeery low ohms and see the CLOUDS made and want the same thing...yet....put themselves at greater risk not REALLY knowing what they are getting themselves into.

The heat used to vaporize can vary greatly. One might need 15-20 watts to heat a tightly rolled wick at 3mm diameter to keep the juice from just boiling. There are a ton of variables put into play here.

Less heat would be needed for a smaller straw type wick than a solid rolled wick with a larger diameter. The mesh count also is a variable in the heat needed. More capillary action needs more heat to prevent flooding.

Main thing being said her folks is to exercise some responsibilty and garner knowledge in what you are getting into.

I want to believe most folks are vaping because they have made the choice to leave analogs and want to have a better/healthier life and less dangerous habit...and not get into it simply because its looks cool and they can show off their nifty state of the art gear only.

Putting a potential thermal rocket/bomb up to your face and being careless about the endeavor is not a wise thing to do by no means.

Ok I meant well over 10 watts, more like 20+ Sorry for the misunderstanding!;)

Yeah, I'm totally convinced that you do this at your own risk, and it's you that is responsible for your health, and safety. So yeah, research your shizzle and try to understand what you are doing. If you're not going to do that, go back to carto's and ego's. Or am I beeing too harsh?

Rm reviews rick vapes at 20 plus watts constantly I just dont undrstand. I t just tastes like ... over about 12 watts for me. Why do you need 20 watts. Are there juices that withstand that kind of heat?

Not necessarily, a lot as has been said has to do with wick thickness and wire thickness as well. A thicker wire may have a lower resistance, but it also has more mass to be heated and therefore requires more watts to heat it to a point that can allow it to vaporize the liquid.

This is a great conversation about batteries and safety. Everyone should be aware of all the dangers. However it started with all the newbies getting iHy's. The problem with them is going to be all the Fly Byes. Like I got an iHy. Congrats but we will probably never see them again. They read and hear how great they are so they score one without even knowing how to use it. Me included. But I read, read and then read some more so I know what im doing. Most of the people who are getting these really dont have a clue. If you read some of the posts on Facebook. Most of the posts are about cheap Genesis attys and cheap batteries. Like was said not a clue. Im sure we will all find out about how someone lost their face because the battery blew up in it. Its just a matter of time. To many new Vapors will eventually lead to something bad happening. So if your new and read this EDUCATE YOURSELF before buying a high end Mod.

On a lighter note. I think I may have found my new favorite bottom button. I am seriously loving the button on the Macaveli. It has to be the easiest button I have ever pushed. People that have arthritis will love this button. Doesnt take any pressure to fire it at all. Im pretty impressed with the Macaveli. Mac did an outstanding job!! Face your going to love it!! I will be waiting to see what your thoughts about are.
