You have to add more wraps when you twist, I made that mistake also and had a nice flaming wick lol

LOL Had that happen to me one time w/o twisting wire :p
It probably works fantastic for a non-VV like the IHy though. I'm dying to see a IHy in person just to see the inner workings lol The tinkereer in me is foaming at the mouth haha

Idont have a meter but I bet this is right at the .8-1 range. More leaning towards 1 I think

It will lower the ohms as twisting the wire cuts the resistance of the wire in half.

Really in half WOW! How low do you guys make these coils? I usually get 1.2 to 1.4 on a 32g 4/5 wrap and/or 3/4 wrap half that just seems super low. But thats just me[/QUOTE]

If I ever twist a coil that meters less than 1 ohm, I'll take it off before I fire it. I don't want to subject my IMR's to more than 4.2 amps and I don't want to subject my throat to more than 17 watts.

Yea i got 100ft of 28g that at first I thought would up my ohm but figured out I was totally wrong hahahaha I'm scared to even use it now that I've learned it's for low ohm :p
Anyone need 28g wire? lol

I do want to add tho, I don't recall all of the details, but if you do twist your wire please remember while it makes it easier it can also cause other problems do to the fact the thinner wires pop to help add some safety when there are shorts, twisted like thicker wire doesn't pop as easily. Which while nice in one respect is a double edged sword.

The guys can explain it much better, but I remember the warnings given when I started playing around with twisted wire.
As long as you meter it, doesn't that show us if we have shorts? That's hopefully correct, because I have 1.6 :)

Alot will depend on the wick too, sounds like most of your wicks are thin, a thicker wick takes more wire so will be higher resistance once wrapped. I am currently using 28 gauge and with a 4/5 wrap is metering around 1.2

Well, you calling me a she hits a nerve too, buddy.

In his defense, I thought you were female as well, until I looked closely at your avatar... I thought it was a woman wearing red lipstick blowing a vape ring... Don't get mad bro, just explaining since that's twice I've seen someone make that mistake in this thread.

Really? I'm getting 1.3 on a 4/5 wrap on my AGA-T and I think your right my wick does seem a lil' thin but damn does it wick great right now. I am noticing though that wick sizing is really hard for me anyway.

28 can be more touchy in some ways because it heats up faster, but it's also more forgiving when it comes to hotspots and shorts- and if you can wrap enough coils of it, the vaping experience is second to none. You'll never have boiling coils again, lol.

The combo of 28 gauge and Pluid is almost too much of a flavor experience to handle! It tastes like you just ate a piece of licorice.
