Good Morning/Afternoon Hybreeds :D

Well I dropped off the 18650 Tube at the engravers and am getting ready to go and pick it up. I was a little worried when they asked me IF it could be replaced if they screwed it up. LOL I sure as heck hope they do not do that to me. So Pictures will be up shortly after I get back of phase 1 of the transformation :D

See Y'all in a few and if I had the money right now I would be grabbing one of them there standards because these things vape AWESOME!

Sincerely;
Nate

Anyone know if a shortstop will fit the ihybrid with an 18650 2000mah IMR?

I would be careful- even if it fits, it leaves you very little room for error. I doubt you would be able to set your PV down unlocked, lol.

The problem is inherent to the delrin that protects the batt from auto-firing when the switch is open- the space between the top of the delrin and the neg screw is all the room you have to play around with, and it will be close.

I have a shortstop on the way, and I'm unsure now if it will work or not- but I also have smaller 18650's to test it with, as well as a few 2000mah's.

**waiting to see the two-penny test...:)**

I just tried a 2cent fuse in my standard with a button top aw imr 18650 - that caused it to auto fire, or I would need to leave a gap between the battery tube and atty.

I kinda figured that would be the case.... wonder if there are some lower profile flat top screws available in brass...

Maybe that's something Faceless could have in stock with the other accessories.

Edit: The extra lenght with the fuse also made it quite stiff to tighten all the way, the movement of the delrin is probably not designed with this in mind.

Thanks for the info on the shortstop guys. I don't necessarily feel that I need one, but extra protection is always nice especially in a mechanical mod. So are the smaller mah AW 18650's (1600mah I think) actually smaller by a bit? Would that end up fitting with the shortstop?

my 18650 is a 1600mah, when i get home i'll test w/ 2 pennys just to see the switch throw, I have a feeling it'll be close.

IMR's can take a lot of abuse. If you're super concerned, just test the resistance between the top posts and make sure you're under the safe-discharge rating of the batts you use.

Also, this is why I only use the 18650's- the 18350 batts have a safe discharge rate that would put a lot of us with low-ohm coils in the danger zone.

Here is the site that I plug my numbers in- I hate having to remember formulas, but it's easy to just plug your number in and click...

Anyone here buy the magnets and use em? Better / worse?

Love em. I use 5 mags in place of the lower spring, and I leave the delrin's spring (top spring) in place. You avoid having problems with the spring wearing out by using the mags, and I swear it feels smoother, might just be my imagination tho lol
