Mine fused to my wick the first (and last) time I tried it ;)

Best thing about it is that it is removable- even Zen mentioned that in his vid. I am really able to see the reasons for a lot of the "things" going on with his devices- he's covered all of his bases insurance-wise, and it has created these devices that all seem to only be "properly usable" in one way- with his wick and wire, one type of batteries, an insulator, low-ohm-proof spring, etc...it ALL makes sense now. He's sufficiently covering his ... .

That's exactly what I got from the interview. I was going to buy a Z-Atty-Pro when they got some in stock but after trying a Ihybrid I will wait for Faceless to come out with his version. I'm not knocking Zen at all I'm just very happy with Faceless product.:toast:

As far as the fuse, first you don't want to mess with that top screw. This is at the bottom of the FAQ page from the site "Removing the top post of the atty voids warranty. Please do not take the iHybrid apart." FAQ/TOS

Also the IMR batteries which is the only thing that should be used in the iHybrid are already safer than the protected li-ion batteries. Now yes we still need to use common sense, and yes we need to be careful. But putting something in a device that the device is not designed for isn't being safe. The battery tubes where designed to work with only the batteries or maybe the battery and a kick in them.

Now this is personal opinion only, as the iHybrid vents through the switch I would not want something *under* the battery between it and the switch.

Nice, Nate!

Thank you so much, it really means a lot to me to have the chance to do this. It is gonna take some very careful polishing to get it exactly how I want it but that kind of work is well worth it for something this special to my Friend and my Family.

Sincerely;
Nate

Maybe you could use an 18500 and, oh, something like 7? ish 2-cent fuses

Talk about multiple layers of protection...

FOr those asking if i would do a full breakdown and maintenance .. lol i was in the middle of doing it when i busted ANOTHER tank lol. clumsily me.. i have some SS tanks on the way.. and 2 new glass ones from my buddy quynn that will be here tomorrow.. so that video will be coming..

My full review is a complete breakdown of the entire iHybrid.. Every available and not available LE.. the button and how its assembled.. the tank and how its assembled.. basically a complete breakdown..

So soon as i quit breaking tanks ill finish the break down lol

The death of the first tank.. red dragon sitting in lap.. forgot it was setting there.. jumped out of my chair sending it across the room shattering the tank..

Death of tank 2.. Was doing my close up shots of all the le tubes.. moved one over to set it down next to the assembled red dragon.. knocked it off the table..

just one of those guys that has to have a Polly or SS tank

This thread moves so fast i need to hire some one to read it and just give me the out takes

Oh goodie, yet another title by my name

How did you get your Army Vet title? I served for 7 years. :) Thanks again for the o-rings btw.

Ideally the fuse would be used on top. A. for bottom venting and B. for continued flawless operation of the wonderfully designed switch :)

Of course I have no intention of removing the top post, but depending on where it's "soldered" the top screw could be swapped.
