I need like 10 FQ tanks and 1 SS. I'm destructive, apparently. In ways that people didn't even imagine...
I have been pm'ing with kathy and she said she will make me a tank for 10 bucks plus 3 ship.
I gave her the measurements and told here there were lots of people looking for tanks.
She is going to make me some this weekend.
I have a few of her tanks for my orion 2.1 and they came out great.

Curious...what color tubes will you be coming out with? Would it be possible to get a set of standard tubes? My original aluminum standard iHybrid has some scratches on it that I can't seem to get rid of, and I just assume buy a new set of tubes.
Anyone got any advice for cleaning up an iHybrid? I checked the iHybrid forum doc and tried scotch brite...then tried the nail file trick. It shined up nice and looks good---but idk, maybe I just like my gunmetal iHybrid to much!

you could send it out and have it re-anodized?

The tubes he is talking about where never anodized to start with, but yes you could have them done by a 3rd party.
Still saving my pennies for an iHy so i just read for now (you guys are great by the way, learned alot from you all)
but i can never resist the urge to show off my ink!
Really hope i have enough cash by the time this one rolls around...which we all know won't be long because Face is a machine!

I'm having some serious bad luck with popping my top coil tonight. I had it workin for bout an hour and now for the life of me, I can't get more than the top wrap to glow. Glow pop glow pop, all top wrap, over and over.

yay my standard got here today... it's beautiful... I think I like it more than my spider, would be even better with the new switch!

Anyway, check with people who have expierience,but I think you should dent the gap between the coil and the top post with your fingernail to prevent hotspots there.
Also bend the wick to the post so that the gap is as small as possible. (don't let it touch tho!)
With twisted 32g kanthal using the petar k method its very easy to get a great coil. I found wrapping the top coil counter-clockwise around the positive post worked very well in having a very small gap between the wick and pos. post. Got it first try that way.
Also if you watch crash's video up the page a little ways up he demonstrates very well how to do the whole process. I have only used a genesis style device for 2 weeks and have had the same coil going strong since day 1.
someone on fb told me they had another oring with the ihy that is thicker and doesn't allow the top cap to move so much. are these no longer sent with the ihys?
