I haven't, but I might start. Emonty is very knowledgable and he probably has a point about the machining oil. I'll likely boil, dawn and re-boil a few sheets tomorrow. Can't hurt.

That's really the only reason I torched my wick at all this time. Manufacturing oil is a fact for pretty much all metals.

Boiling might actually put some deposits on your wick depending in how hard your water is. I know if I boil water for a while, the pot has mineral deposits on the sides.

Yeah I always felt like it should be cleaned first. Don't know why I never acted on that instinct :)facepalm:) but will do from now on.

Here's the renders... There is another normal LE I'm not yet cleared to show renders of yet as well. This is a more simple design than I was originally bouncing around in my head but it gets the point across better.

Formatting to put it in your signature... remove the " ** " from the bbcode tags. (ECF forum software is seriously annoying!)

Does the juice in your fog taste a bit off? Just curious.

I might have to pull mine apart and soak in 99%. Can't get rid off the slightly odd flavor across several juices.

I'm almost hesitant to give you this recommendation but I hate seeing people struggle. The reason I'm hesitant is because not everyone uses the same kinds of batteries so don't do this unless you are using an AW or MNKE in 18650 mode.

1) Put away the torch
2) Roll a wick and juice burn it 3 times
3) Install wick and wrap coil
4) Insert a 18650 battery and start tap firing it. Yea, it's going to short. Keep tap firing and don't get your wire too hot. It will short and oxidize the wick underneath where it is shorting. You will see the short move down the coil as it oxidizes the wick. Once it's glowing evenly you're done.
5) Vape

This works for me. If you google "Todd Ecig Reviews" he has a video on it. I've done a few dozen coils like this without a problem and with minimal effort.

Well son of a bee-sting. I've been doing this with my half drained 350s for the past month. Damnit. I really like the results of this method too :/. Anyone know a place with 650's and 400 or 200 mesh? I've been wanting to order both.

What's the reason for only being able to use 650s? The discharge rate?

Yes the 350s have a lower amp max and are much more likely to short while trying this. RTDVapor.com has the batteries.

EDIT: And I recommend themeshcompany.com for mesh. 5% lifetime discount for ECF members.
