Oh, I thought PT/Evod was hit an miss with Aro pyrex v1. I was just gonna order some t3s heads since they're 2 bucks cheaper... i imagine 5 of them would last me quite a while with rebuilding them.
The one thing I noticed -- even at 2 ohms, with the cotton wick micro coil rebuild in the pt2 mini, it completely eats thru all the juice so quickly (to be expected when clouds of vapor are being spit out like they are).
And holy hell, the flavor difference is insane compared to the silica wick.

You do want to check the Ω before filling. Some PT heads have the bottom pin pushed in a tad far, slightly squeezing the bottom insulator, and may not contact the battery terminal. A slight pull there will usually fix it. Otherwise, I've had no problems putting those or T3S heads in my two.

I bought one of these kits from a local store for $60. It came with 5 iclear 16 clearos. Fasttech has them too ($40), and claims to be authentic but it only comes with 4 iclears. Is there 2 different authentic packages (1 with 4 iclears, and 1 with 5 iclears)? Or is the one that comes with only 4 iclears from fasttech a knock off?
The one I got from Fasttech had 5 iclears. That said it didn't have the Innokin sticker on it.

I still can't get over how much better Kanger coils are when re wrapped with a cotton wick. Mind blowing! I've been leaving my VV on full blast at 11 watts... no burnt taste, huge clouds of vapor and great taste.
I've totally got the rebuilding bug. Dang it!
Now I have to buy more stuff.
mech mod is the first thing on that list. Must. Hold. Off...

I've been getting a package every other day for the past 2 weeks. 1 thing from Fasttech a couple from Amazon, a couple from discount vapers still in vape mail. I just need a good but inexpensive mech mod from Fasttech and maybe kayfun Lite or Russian 91% from Fasttech as well. Suggestions always welcome

The Aro head is the same as the PT/Evod, and will NOT go in the T3S. But the T3S will work in the others. The part at the base that looks like a thin flat washer is bigger diameter on the Aro and PT than it is on the T3S, which will keep it from fully seating in the T3S. But you really have to look close - and at one of each at the same time - to tell.

And the KHPro KHMod, with it's bottom side button has some nice features for the "low" end of the mech spectrum.

Oh and brooke, you don't have to build dual coils to go back in the aspire. rip tipper had a great vid on how to. I don't have one, as I'm pretty much still happy with rebuilt kanger pt2 heads. You are correct on the cotton build.
Ha, well, I'm going to claim a senior moment there, it's the EA Mod.

Similar, but doesn't have the ego threading the EHPRO does. I just want to find a nice lil mech mod that's under $40 (preferably even less) that ideally has both 510 and ego. Granted, I'd likely only be putting on an RBA that has a 510 connection as I'll probably sub ohm it on the mech mod. All this assuming I don't want to add a kick to the mech mod.

What kind of wick comes in the T3S when you buy it? I have to say that this iTaste + T3S is absolutely great after using the eRoll for 3 wks, but if I could get more taste and throat hit without a burnt taste, I'd love that! I know eventually I'll have to rebuild these, but I'm frankly terrified at the thought.
I'm shopping for a mech too, but mostly because of the vapocalypse stuff. I don't trust politicians, BT, or BP *half* as far as I can throw them.

They use a silica wick + a couple silica flavor wicks.
I believe Alisa has been pulling it the wick very carefully and relaxing the wick but leaving the undamaged coil in place and skidding a thin piece of organic cotton through to improve everything.
It's a great adjustment.

I wonder if that's what's wrong with that base I have that leaks, they tried to use the PT/Evod parts on it. I've figured out that that leak is because of that flat rubber gasket, it won't lay flat on that base. So I ordered another base, should be here tomorrow or the next day, so that the stupid tank will stop leaking all over my iTaste!
