Carto tanks haven't been playing nice with my nemesis. My nemesis tends to burn them. Even with a kick installed and heating to about 9 watts (my normal for vv v3) it still tasted burnt. Maybe the cheap kick isn't doing what it should, or maybe it's because the were LR cartos... But it didn't play nice.

Or you could be putting too much power into them and frying them. I run my LR cartos (1.5 Ω to 1.7 Ω) at less than 3.5 volts, never a burnt carto. 9 watts is too much, turn it down then go up slowly until you hit the sweet spot. Use the vaping chart to give you an idea of voltage/wattage/ohms. JMHO

With my Vv, 9 - 9.5 watts is prefect. With my nemesis, it appears I need to do substantially less.

I don't expect any coil to be the same as another even if the Ω's are the same. When I change I start lower, and adjust up to my sweet spot. Only takes a minute to tune in a carto, they seem to all be different to me. Some vape hard at a lower voltage, some I have to turn up a little, but all different. Just saying start low and adjust up to avoid the burnt. JMHO

easier???

Clearomizers...replace heads, replace coils, replace wicks, rebuild heads, dry-burn coils, re-wick heads, etc.etc.

CartoTanks...every 2 weeks push out old carto with new carto...20 seconds...

Carto Tanks the cure for vapers.

Welcome to my Kweendom, my little karto-ites. ;)

With T3S's, I usually run mine from about 8w to maybe 9w, but with a carto I never take it over 8.5, or it tastes burned, and that's with a standard Ω carto. But it might be a difference in the juice; mine doesn't taste good if the heat is too extreme. I do love the cartos for the convenience of grabbing one that's already got juice in it, but I think I'll like them better once I have a cartotank; just using the carto by itself, it needs topping off quite frequently. I started using the wattage rather than the voltage, just because I got all these cartos that have different resistance, and I got tired of nasty surprises.

Yeah. I kinda hijacked the post. I wasn't posting about a vv v3, was posting with my new toy :)

That's with the kayfun on it. But the Nemesis didn't play nice with a carto tank.

Edit: I'm going to try again with the wattage turned way down on the kick... Eventually. My vv v3 is still my out and about primary, and it plays nice with everything I have, so it is a pretty moot point.

My VV3's with SR cartos work best at 7 watts.

Arrived home yesterday from Florida vacation to find my new white pearl VV3 from Vape 101. A very sharp looking white. Now I have 3.

I'm a cloud chaser. I've not tried Sr Boges yet, but I finally have some. With the LR, I get a warm vape that tastes delicious for Nicoticket's The Virus and Custards Last Stand between 9-9.5 watts on the carto tank. Higher in other toppers. Tastes great and huge clouds :)

Those are 2 of my favorite flavors and both taste great to me using Boge SR cartos @ 7 watts.

I'll need to try that out. Slightly angry with myself. Ordered a 19mm XL ibtanked when I should've just got a 22mm standard so it would be flush with my nemesis. Just got magnetic switches. They're sitting in my mailbox asking to be installed when I get home.

19mm is perfect for the VV3 and MVP2.

Yup. I'll typically be using it on there. Just wasn't thinking... impulse buy.

I only have a few more things on my list.

Send my SVD back and get a true vw/vv replaceable battery cylindrical mod that functions perfectly and without any fire button issues.

MVP 2
Evolv Kick 2
22 mm ibtanked

Those 3 things would make me vertu happy.

It is just as easy and inexpensive as a carto tank. And the good thing is many clearo heads will last 3-4 weeks. And with a good cleaning and soaking will get a few more weeks. I batch wash after I get about 10 built up. I personally don't bother with rewicking or dry burning. To me the heads are disposable.

I have 3 PT2 mini's and 2 ProTank 2's and I agree the clearomizers are cheap to use especially Kanger.

The taste however is not close to the taste of a carto tank. If cost is the criteria then clearomizers win. If taste is most important then a carto tank wins hands down.

Ya know I have heard that. But I have also heard several times if you don't like cartos to start with a carto tank won't make you like them anymore. Welp I have never really liked the flavor from cartos sooooo.....

This is ESPECIALLY true if you are not rebuilding the clearomizers. If you do start to futz with rebuilding or rewicking clearos, I've found the vape to be very comparable.

I don't mind trying new things but rebuilding coils just isn't for me in this day and age.
