I found that doing both, the rebuilds and cartos, are great for me. Like brook, I screwed up and ordered 2 19mm XL IBT, when I already had 1. I need a 22 for provari and mech mod. I have found, however, there are certain juices (fruit type mostly) with cartos that don't give me the aha moment. For those I go with a pt2 or nautilus. The russian that I picked in a coop, will one day show up. I'll see how that goes.

Is it the Russian, or Russian 91%?

Yeah... already had 2 19mm standard and ordered a 19mm xl since I didn't think anything thru

Now it's even better because my gf stole my backup vv v3 as her primary and using a ego twist add get backup. And with me sending my SVD back, all I have is my Nemesis and vv v3. (I digress, obviously could be worse)

Russian is 91%, not that I would know the difference. It does have airflow on the side. If I like these type things, I'm going to order a knock off from ft, maybe the kayfun.

Technically, the Russian 91% is a Kayfun 3.1 clone. Supposedly, there was an extremely limited production of a RBA called The Russian, priced astronomically high and not too different from the Russian 91% or Kayfun 3.1 (I may have misunderstood something, but either way, I think you'll love the Russian. Just got my Kayfun 3.1 clone from fasttech and am loving it!

I don't mind trying new things but rebuilding coils just isn't for me in this day and age.

I have felt that way too, especially since I really haven't been vaping that long, about a month longer than whatever it says in my sig. However, I was also terrified of dry-burning my coils, and that turned out to be easy as pie. So maybe I can do this rebuilding thing too. It sure would save me a ton of money buying replacement coils, cause I seem to go thru 'em like water.

Anyway, I got the wire last week, and the silica wick I ordered should be here tomorrow, at which point I'll be fully equipped with the necessary materials, so just need to head up to the B&M that offers a workshop on thursday nights, Steam Cigs, and see if I can't get this rebuilding thing done.

I also hate owning something that I'm so dependent on, and not be able to maintain it.

I saw a mention in another thread of a 510 to 510 connector. Might this be the thing that would solve the issue of the toppers flattening down the center post? Because I seem to have killed my first one...

510-510 would work, but I just pull the pin back up or pull the pin down in the tank. Don't consider it dead yet. Your problem is easy to resolve.

I got a 510 to ego from Desert Vapes for a mod and it has 510 inside the ego. DV has an airflow control for 2.95 and I would buy that instead. Air control with a 510 device is essential.
Popular 510 Adapters

Edit early morning confusion. I was thinking of flat bottom 510 devices. I read too many things.

Any of the adapters should work fine.

On the clearo, just put the end of a pin, straightened paper clip, or whatever, into the hole in the bottom. Rock gently and tug gently. Or just rock side to side a bit. You probably need less than 1 mm of movement to fix it. While there are some who say to rotate it, there's a good chance you'll also rotate the wires that are inside, maybe causing a short.

Or if you care to take it apart, just "pinch" the metal piece under the bottom insulator to give it a bit of a pull and effectively lengthen it. If you pull it out, you're ready to learn how to recoil :) (And if you're not ready for that, just keep all the pieces for later endeavors.)

Well said. The rotating was for cartos if I remember the post. You may notice, if you were to unattach the coil, that the insulator is pinched down a lot. pulling down a little on the metal pin should loosen the squishing of the insulator and could resolve the issue.

Note: what I said is exactly what David said, it just allows you to SEE the reason why what David said will work. If you don't care to visually see, just a slight pull downward will work wonders.

You can't kill the center post. It is able to move up and down. Anything small will allow you to lift the center pin up. Heck take a paper clip and open it and work the end around the center pin. it's easy to fix.

Thank you, David, Brook, and Speed.
It's pretty obvious I learn in miniscule steps.

After getting super-disgusted with my ability to taste any juices (and trust me, I've tried it ALL), last night I thought about how delicious they were in my earlier vaping days. I also remembered that I was using higher PG/VG ratios, but I had decided the irritation I had was caused by that. I went to the spare room and pulled some out. Well! The irritation may come back, but it seems to be cracking some taste buds loose. We'll see.
