just upgraded from a ego-c (upgrade batt version - not the twist) with ego-cc clearo to the itaste vv3 with a kanger protank 3 mini @ 1.5ohm.. i wanted to stick to something small and have variable voltage so the vv 3 was the only thing i could find that wasn't overly huge compared to my ego-cc. hope i made a good choice..

what is a good voltage for the itaste on this clearo with 1.5ohm coil?

Rule of thumb voltage is 2 over the resistance number...so around 3.5, but everyone's treasures differ.... And I would suggest wattage mode personally. Just start out low and work your way to till you find your sweet spot. If you start to taste a burnt flavor you went too high... Just back down a bit

Oh.... My fav topper for the v3 is the aerotank mini... The new dual coils from kanger can handle the max output of the v3 without the burnt flavor

thanks i will try that.
i really wanted to get the aerotank because adjustable flow but i could't justify the $20+ price tag. i got the protank mini for around 7 bucks and from what i gather i can mod the holes to adjust air if needed or install the lower airflow ring from the aero onto the protank which fits and is only around $5 and it'll basically be an aerotank from what i can tell and will only cost $10-12 dollars in total.

At least the pt3 uses the dual coils, so you can use the new style heads. They are far superior to the old ones unless you rebuild them. I get the old style since I like to build them myself, and the new ones are virtually impossible to take apart for rebuilding.

You can get these nifty little air flow control bases to replace the one that your mini protank 3 comes with - they should just cost a few dollars (says the Brit who has no idea).

They look like this:

Kanger Mini Airflow Control Valve V2 - Accessories

Pretty much makes it in to an aerotank ;)

I am asking this most everywhere, and not getting any answers? Any thoughts about the upcoming iTaste SVD 2.0? Removable top cap, Custom DNA board (really) - and yet no one is talking about it?

ECF won't accept Vapor Joes links...this is C/P from their site:

INNOKIN YOU'RE TOO LATE: THE SVD 2.0 w/ EVOLV DNA20?

Here is the latest wattage mod from Innokin The SVD 2.0. Innokin opted to go with Evolv and use the DNA20 chip.
Innokin has now moved into a new sub-market. This is the DNA style sub-market were they are judged completely different. Innokin has always been in a world of their own - but when they go toe to toe with other DNA / CHNA makers - this product is DOA!

Let me breakdown why this was a TERRIBLE move on the part of Innokin.

THE BAD:

STRIKE 1: No innovation by Innokin

We always gave Innokin a pass on its lower power because they had such great style, form, and function. This is just a plain tube with what looks like plastic buttons. They are banking on the Evolv name to push this mod. To me this seemed like a good way for Evolv to get rid of a ton of DNA20 tech. This style and wattage limit HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH.

STRIKE 2: It will probably be expensive

Let's face it - we're looking at an Evolv chip and consider Innokin's past prices on mods.
It will be more expensive than any more powerful 30 watt tube or box mods coming from China.
Don't forget this mod is still ALL China. The brain is USA but its only as good as its weakest part.
They would need to price this well under $79.00 for it to be viable.

STRIKE 3: Enter the new darling of regulation - The Box Mod
The latest rage in regulated (i.e SX chips, Raptor, etc) is the box mod. There has been a huge shift. Mod makers can do more and fit more batteries in that form factor. You don't need a CnC machine or Lathe to make a solid box mod.

STRIKE 4: UGLY

I'd love to know who gave the OK on this mod. Ugly as the day is long.
This can now be sold in both ecig and adult toy shops around the world - and fit right in.
I guess the "D" in the DNA20D stands for ... well you figure it out :)

STRIKE 5: Already Cloned at 30 Watts

KSD already has come out with a CHDNA 30 VAMO that is far better looking, probably cheaper, and has 10 more watts of power. Technically - wouldn't that make this mod a clone because KSD was first to release? CHECK IT OUT HERE

$43.45 KSD 7W-30W Varaible Wattage Mod - 1*18650 / stainless steel + chromed brass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

THE GOOD:

1. Innokins highest wattage to date.

This is Innokin's highest wattage mod to date, which gives a little more power to the vaper coming from the ego battery.
In this day and age - it's an entry level wattage mod.

2. SOME quality

Though just a plain, ugly, and boring tube mod - this has both Evolv and Innokin names on it.
This means it will have SOME quality behind it. Which is important to many.

In my opinion this mod is dogs breakfast in terms of the online vaping community. This is geared more for the B&M shops. In the end I see this being a simple metal casket for the DNA20 chip to rot in - very few will buy it.

An ironic ending.... The USA DNA20 gasps its dying breath in a Chinese mod.

Has anyone tried drilling holes to your kanger t3s before?? I need to invest in something better, can't go too low resistance on the itaste. :(

Not I, but it shouldn't be any more difficult than drilling out any other topper.

But why? I don't understand the need, as the size of the air intake has nothing to do with the resistance of the coil.

What is it about the T3S that you don't like? And that you do :) That could help us with suggestions for an alternative topper.

Fwiw my evod and t3s bodys are drilled slightly and i have also made the center pin of the coil unit larger too. My center pins are 1.8mm. Not sure of the body holes. Will post back if interested. The pins and bodys are easy to drill as they are soft chrome plated brass.
