innokin YOU'RE TOO LATE: THE SVD 2.0 w/ EVOLV DNA20?

I agree that they're rather ugly... but even more than that -- the screen on the opposite side to the buttons??? HUH?? What brainiac thought THAT up? That's just plain stupid.

I think I'm going to keep looking for a slender mech that will still take 18xxx batteries, and the Vamo V6 -- it lets you customize the shut-off time instead of being stuck with the stupid 10 second shut-off! BRILLIANT!

If I ever do get a box mod, I think the MVP2 will have to be the one.

Well, my second and last Itazte is blinking oddly like the first so I'm putting it away b4 it starts to autofire like the other one. Doesn't seem that long ago...

Was a good run- from January. Just in time- the Istick is out now and I've gotten one. A good 1-3/4" shorter, twice as thick and heavy, 2-1/2 x battery life.

ECF won't accept Vapor Joes links...this is C/P from their site:

Wow - thanks for sharing, but I kinda think the writer doesn't like the mod?

Many of his 'bad' points I happen to see as good points myself. I have no need for high(er) wattage at all. Granted, only been vaping a bit over a year, but I've pretty much figured out what I like and don't like. The shame in my opinion is we are past the release date, with no update from the maker.

I 'like' your post not for the content but for the effort.

    /grin

received my vv today. first impression out of the box were the wiggly buttons ;)
kind of already knew this, but i find it a bit bizarre they don't really seem to improve the quality feel every time they release a new version. also, coming from ego-c style batteries i wish the itaste was rubberized. my ego-c just feel so much more solid in hand.. for what i paid i guess it's not really a big deal.

also got the kanger protank 3 mini. first thing i noticed was the wiggly mouth piece. actually i found this more annoying than the wiggly buttons on the itaste. to me there is nothing more annoying than a mouth piece that wiggles. the tank itself is really well made though, but the mouth piece is obviously flawed, ironically, my ego-cc clearo mouth piece fits better on the protank than the protanks own mouth piece.. gotta love the joyetech quality.

anyhow.. i got a good deal so it makes up for it.

Yeah, I really liked the rubber on my Joye Upgrade. 2yrs and still going strong.

After 10mths on these V3's, I think the quality really is there, as far as the body goes. Never noticed the wiggly buttons much after the first days.

i don't really mind the buttons themselves wiggle a little, but it's more the slight rattle they seem to make when holding the device in my hand.. well at least the one i received, not sure if they're all made equally.

They all rattle like maracas if you shake them. There is a fix........Don't Shake Your Vape! :)

Welcome to the club. I think you will find these are pretty well built devices and I have abused them pretty thoroughly. The buttons only rattle if you shake it and really, how often do you shake your device? The dang 510 connection bothers me more when it acts up. It is the same on the MVP and I just can't believe they wont fix them :(

Some are permanent but not all and one of the big things is the fact that the ego threads are just to long. This blocks the breather holes on some clearoes like my beloved T2's. It also allows ego threaded devices to screw down to low and compress the pin starting a lot of these contact issue.

And, as stated above, we shouldn't have to fix a brand new device. :glare:

I say for the money the v3 is hard to beat as a way to enter into the vv/vw game. I've out grown mine, but it stays in my case as emergency back up :p

As for the svd2.0, the aesthetic complaints are subjective and I'm a function over form guy myself. The reviewer obviously didn't do his homework.... How many times did he mention it was using old dna20 chips? Based on that I would take what he says with a grain of salt (on any mod review). What I would like to see is the price tag on them and if their buttons are better then the previous svd.

And I'm seriously thinking about one of those istick mods...aren't they fairly cheap?

On the maker's website, it looks like the expected cost is to be around $100 bucks. And, it's supposed to be a modified DNA20 board, with some added goodies.

I have had an iStick for a few days now. It seems to run hotter than expected (4.0v on my ProVari, 3.0v on the iStick), I think it's a great mod for the $40 bucks I paid for mine.

People are always talking about the vv3's buttons rattling... but I've noticed that my Vamo V2's rattle just as much, but nobody ever says much about that.

I'm really lusting for one of those V6's; slo-tech has the black chrome model for like $25. *drool*

The SVD2.0 is the first and only Advanced Personal Vaporizer to run on the powerful and precise Evolv DNA Experience™ Microchip. Designed and manufactured in the Unites States by Evolv, the patented DNA Experience microchip offers true power control and unrivaled consistency.

The SVD2.0 features a maximum output power of 20W and a minimum resistance of .5ohm. The Evolv DNA Experience™ also has the ability to step-down power which gives sub-ohm vapers a wider precise range of usable power levels. With the iTaste SVD2.0 you can vape at any wattage you want regardless of the remaining charge of your battery.

Based on that, it's not an altered dna20 chip, but a whole new design.

I got a full sized Nautilus for the easy filling. I haven't been really happy with it in general, but I am getting used to it. I am having a VV v3 (and MVP) issue with it, though. It is definitely pushing the 510 center pin down, to the point where as I go through my charging rotation I am having to pry the pin back up on all of my Innokins after using the nautilus. Is this happening to anyone else or is it a personal problem? Up until now my center pin issues had only been on one VV v3.

My iTaste VV3.0 is a backup device for me. It holds a charge for like forever (if you turn it off after charging it). As it's not a daily use item, I've never had any issues with my mini or full sized Nautiluses. I also carry for backup a IBT carto/tank prefilled in one of their 'thingys' - so these can store well for a long time with little to no attention (mind temps in cars though).

I am testing and liking my new iStick, and so far am thinking this will become both my backup device of choice, and what I use when mowing, yard work, and other stuff that could be risky for my device.

Just FYI? My in home faves are my Billet Box and ProVari at this point.

My favorite reason for the VV3.0 is that it doesn't ROLL at all - unlike all other tube mods. The new iStick stands very well, even with toppers installed.

I think I'd be getting a few of those circuit board spacers from Madvapes. Possibly magnetize them to stay in place.

During the brief time I had a Nautilus, before I sold it, I also observed this with the nautilus; I had to push it hard into the 510 connector to get it to connect at all, and that definitely pushed the post down.
