The MVP2 is great, but as long as innokin makes the VV3 I will use them more then my MVP. I just love the hand feel of the VV3. maybe it reminds me of holding a cigarette, but the light feel with my Mini Protank2's is perfect for me. At home I'm good with the MVP and I never think of it going dead on me. Being a throw away device means nothing to me, as it's half the cost of a carton of cigarettes and so far mine have lasted for months now and still no loss in charging power.

Couple questions guys. When fully charged and still on the USB charger is the light supposed to be green, or go off? This is my first recharge and it went from Red to Yellow to Green real fast and is hanging on Green now -- charging I guess? Also, can this be charged like a simple eGo, through the threaded connector head? Not sure WHY I'd want to charge it that way, just wondering in case the USB ever gets messed up. Had eGo passthroughs where the USB function pooped out but would still charge the other way. Great batt so far, really digging it. Got the Chameleon color, thought it might be a little girly for a guy, but looks cool, mostly black but does some tricks in different light and has metal flakes.

Green on is still charging, goes out when charged and no you cant charge it through the head ego style. I wouldn't even try it.

A known and often written about problem with both the VV and MVP. Not your dealers fault. It is my theory that it is the length of the ego threads that cause most of the problems but irregardless of the cause, it is well noted. I have been on a campaign to get people to write innokin on this ( support@innokin.com ) and let them know that we are having this problem. They have responded to consumer feedback before and if they hear about it enough, hopefully they will correct it.

In the mean time you can wiggle the post up on the device, pull the pin down on the clearo or as you have summised, just learn to live with a 510/ego connector which is what I do to correct the air flow blockage for my K t-2. Put a small ego beauty ring on the bottom ego threads to make it look decent.

Thanks for the feedback! No I don't really fault the dealers. Just wish they could take the time to do some simple testing and save us all some headaches. These are all chinese products, after all! I will write to Innokin, as you have recommended, and thanks for the link.

Definitely do NOT charge through the output. You'll probably destroy your VV3 and maybe the charger too. The charging circuity is connected to the micro usb port, not the VV3 output. That end is out only.

If you're using it in pass-thru, expect the light to stay green most of the time. Any use will slightly decrease the charge, and it will start charging again. It goes out when fully charged, and any use at all makes it not full.

Red means don't vape.

Yellow means enough charge to vape.

Green is getting close to full.

I got my VV V3.0 on Saturday, and I really, really like it. I got it as a slender VV replacement for a KO twist that went belly up.

I really like the VV V3!!!

The eGo threads were sketchy at first, but after threading a few EVOD (very carefully), they are threading quite well now.

I also have an MVP, a VTR, and an eVic (with 18350 tube if desired), but I tend to like shiny new things, so buying the VV V3 was a no-brainer to help celebrate my one year vape-a-versary.

I would recommend the VV V3 to anyone (and have to at least some people).

I'd try an exchange, pcrdude. If you're having trouble with the threading on that many toppers on the single battery, odds are there's something sketchy with the battery threads, not the toppers. My mini came to life for me on the vv3 vs my small egos and spinner and the aspires are wearing the silver medal now - which makes no real sense mechanically, but they all are working well which makes me happy. Next purchase will be cartridge & tank system to see what all the fuss is about. :D

You went from a VTR and eVic to a vv3?? Just had a hankerin' for portability? Wish you lived closer so I could take them for a test drive and see if they're worth their weight. Good luck on the exchange with the vv3. You get them from your local?

Hi bogmonster. ;)

I didn't buy the VV locally, so now for an exchange hassle...

:(

I got the eVic first, then the MVP, then the VTR. Then I did the short, black tube mod on the eVic. Love the form factor, but 800 mAh 18350s don't last long. I LOVE the VTR battery door!!! Easy peasy, and no threads. I like the heft, but it relegates it to coffee table use (at least for me). The MVP is a wonderful device as well.

It's a gadget problem (I love gadgets).

:D

I dropped a note to the vendor explaining the problem. Can't check that email account until after work.

Previously, I had an eGo KO battery with wonky threads, so this issue annoys me to no end. I use a LOT of eGo threaded stuff, and I want everything to fit on everything (as it does on the rest of my eGo batteries and eGo threaded mods.)

I will update when I hear back from the vendor (in case anyone cares).

BTW, this particular vendor sells the VV V3 for $28, but no box and no charging cord. I didn't care about the box, but the missing cord (which they clearly explained was not included) was kind of an odd thing......

I use my eVic cord and wallwort for all my micro USB needs anyway....

Please do update, cuz I care..
I've had my share of wonky and doa batteries lately, and would almost rather pitch em and chalk it up to experience, than do the replacement/store credit thing. What good is a store credit from a vendor you are done doing business with?

Looking for a carto-tank to use with the vv3 but wondering about odd size mismatch, making the vv3 look like a hotdog wearing a sombrero :glare:

Any recommendations (with pics would be great if you have them)? My mini protank and aspires get me close to 3 ml, but was looking to up my game, so to speak. I was looking at the smoke pyrex DCT (but using single coil carts in it), but my B&M doesn't stock them and I'm having visualization issues.

Thanks!

I have a standard 19mm IBTank that I really like. It's a bit bigger in diameter, but I still think it looks good. They make a 15mm that is closer in diameter, but it's made of a thinner glass.

The ring is a just a beauty ring to cover the Ego threads since the cartos are 510 threaded. Yes, the 19mm is the diameter. The standard size 19mm tank holds a bit more than 1.5ml, plus the approximately 1ml that's in the carto itself. They have all kinds of other sizes depending on what you want.

15mm HalfLing =
15mm Standard=
15mm XL =
19mm HalfLing = 0.7ml
19mm Standard= 1.5ml
19mm XL = 2ml
22mm HalfLing = 1.2ml
22mm Standard = 3ml
22mm XL = 4.5ml
25mm HalfLing = 2ml
25mm Standard = 5ml
25mm XL = 8ml

I contacted the vendor, and they charged me $3.00 for a return shipping label. They will then look at it, and we shall see...

I don't think I should have to pay return shipping, but that seems to be the way of the mail order vape shop.

If it was my shop, I would throw in something to offset the customers added expense, but that's just me....

I just had a return with 101vape and had to pay shipping. I wrapped a Poptart box around it and Duct-taped it. $2.75

Yeah, hope they pop something in xtra for my trouble, but I got the same guy 2wice for CS and he was pretty disinterested about anything, lol. And I was nice and all.

Now I got to go back to my eGos until they get Black back in stock. Might be Springtime what with CNY soon, lol.
