If your wall adapter is a minimum of 500 mAh per port, and you just plug in the VV3 charging cable to it, should be fine. Do NOT use your ego chargers, use ONLY the micro port cable, attached to the bottom of the VV3.

I use a 4 port wall adapter, 500 mAh per port, and plug in my VV3 cable, ego chargers for egos, and so on.

So...is 500 mAh the charging input the VV uses?

I've been looking for "usb ac wall charging stations" on Amazon. Many have 1 A (and even 2 A) outputs. Could that harm ("blow-out" ?) the 0.5 A input for the VV?

No....wall warts don't Push power....The device "draws" power. Thus the MVP will attempt to draw what it does. the .5 amps is a minimum since the MVP will draw at least 500 ma.

A wall wart capable of outputing 2 amps will supply that if the device asks for it. The MVP won't draw 2 amps.

Right. The rating on the wall wart, charger, or any source of power, is the maximum that it can provide. So if you put a device that wants, say, 1000 mA (1 A) to work on a charger that has a max of 500 mA, it will either take forever to charge, not charge to full voltage, not charge at all, or damage the power supply.

The source should always have a higher max output than what you plug into it. At the right voltage, of course, but with USB it's a standard 5 VDC, so we don't have to worry about that part.

The warnings about not using ego chargers on stick batteries is a little different, as they are chargers, not power supplies, and they're made to "push" the current at a certain level, to charge efficiently. Using the typical 420 mA ego charger on a 100 mAh stick will charge it, sure, but way to fast and the heat will damage the battery.

Just keep in mind that chargers are wall adapters are totally different animals. And the charger for the VV3 is actually inside the VV3.

Sure they do, they "push" 5 volts. The device connected "draws" current.

For those who don't understand the distinction, think about it in terms of water-supply plumbing. Voltage is akin to the pressure of the water in the pipe (typically expressed in pounds / square inch). Current is akin to the flow-rate (typically expressed in gallons/minute). The fact that your pipes can supply 5, 10 or more gallons / minute is not relevant if your shower head can only flow 2.5 gallons / minute.

It could be that I'm new to all this...or stupid...(or both)...but I think I understand what you're saying...but don't know what you mean. How about the "specifics":

I have multiple VV V3's...an MVP2...some eG-C's and Vision Spinners.

If I spend 20 clams on this "Anker® 25W 5-Port USB Family-Sized Desktop Charger"...that has a AC/Wall Plug on 1 end and 5 USB Ports on the other (ranging from 1A to 2.1A each)...could I then stick the USB end of the cords for my VV, eGo, etc. into any of the ports (for charging) without a problem?

My first vv from 101 convinced me to get 3 more. I got 2 in the chameleon and one pearl/chrome. Both the chameleon's have thread problems and the only tanks that really fit and work are my mini protank 2's. I'm going to put 510/ego adapters on them to help preserve the threads and make my other tanks work. Anyone else have this issue?

I hate dealing with vendors and their lack of service. $2.25 a pop sounds way better to me at this point.

Update:
I got 2 510/EGO adapters in the mail today and they did indeed solve the problem. I can now use ALL of my tanks and clearos on the vv's. There is a small trade off in appearance, and I will be looking for some ego cones to dress em up. Also the draw is a little tighter on most of the clearos. I hope Innokin gets these funky threads resolved before I need to replace them.

I just noticed that one of our great U.S. Vape shops has iTaste vv 3.0 back in stock for $25.99 (starter kit)! These are the least $$$ I've seen anywhere! In case it's not ok to mention names on the forum, please pm me and I'll give the name to you!

We mostly know about 101vape at that price for the EXPRESS kit. A starter kit usually contains more. You can post vendors here.

one of my 3 VVs has a center pin problem; won't always fire a clearo that works on all other batteries I have. I just nudge the center pin with an unbent paper clip (battery powered off!) or small screwdriver. Ever so slightly and it works flawlessly again. Repeat, ever so slightly seems to fix the problem, til next time :) Trying to narrow down the clearo that is causing this.... I have many.

It is usually one with ego threading. My theory all along has been that there are to many or to low ego threads that are causing these problems.

My VV is on the way back to Desert Vapes for the dreaded thread issue. $3 to send it back. :(

There is NO excuse for not being able to produce proper threads!!!

Innokin needs to bump up the QC!!!

BTW, mine was pearl chrome, so it has nothing to do with the color.

I am also of the opinion that it isn't the length of the eGo threads, but something else.
