I love my Kennedy. I just love the Cosmonaut and Layercake more. Theyre the only 3 I use.
Quite simply, you imagine incorrectly.
Is the build quality the same. I want something that will last years. I hope my Cosmonaut lasts a long time since they dont make it anymore.
What kind of maintanence? Id like to make mine last forever. Is there anything in particular I shud do to maintaine it?
Stripping the grub screws is the main thing I worry most about. I try to be extra careful when screwing and unscrewing them.
I have 2 Cosmonauts. 1 I dont use. I keep it for spare parts. That way I have plenty grub screws since thats really the only thing I have to worry about it. I wipe the juice out when I change my cotton so I keep it clean.
And since I drip from the top I shudnt wear the orings out caise I only pull the top cap off when I cange the cotton. Thats an important feature for me. I love any rda u candrip from the top. Like the Drop, Drop Dead, Cosmonaut, Warrior, Layercake. U can all drip from the top. Thats the only thing I dont like about the Kennedy. U cant drip through the top.
You can easily replace orings. And yes you can drip the Kennedy. That’s what the juice well is for.
Just keep doing what you are doing, if you wind up with the grub screws wearing out, I believe you can measure them with calipers or even just looking at the specs and well, if you aren't stressing them you won't overstress them, but if it makes you feel better you could probably buy the same or similar grub screws that will work elsewhere, it doesn't have to be direct from the manufacturer (or even identical) honestly. Lots of folks replace the screws in the Doggy style with screws other than the flat head screws because they are so dang annoying to work with. One day, I may be among them.
I usually just shove mine at the husband and he tells me what to get and/or if he can procure me something that will work. Yes, I have it easy.
Similarly with the O rings, you might not wind up with an exact 1:1 convergence should you ever need to replace them but well, it sounds like you may not need to replace them.

Ok so I own 5 Kennedy drips, 2 tricksters(because i love them)both copper and one is a clone other is authentic and I can't tell them apart.I mean i can because of the numbers on the bottom and my clone patina a little faster but that's all.my other 3 two stainless steel and one brass.one of the stainless steel one is real other two are clones both.all my Kennedy rda's are the best clones I have......other then my skyline and skyfall rda and rta as a matter of fact probably the best rda's i own.nothing is as good as a Kennedy and in my opinion.this is just me the layercake is garbage.I have the real one and a clone.the rereason you can't find a clone at this time is after the "ooo we're sorry we almost made you loss you face" debacle with the center post hard short most clone makers thought the rda was so unsafe even they don't want nothing to do with it and that's saying alot.first I got the real because I love the way it looks really beautiful rda i mean that.lots of flavor but then I seen that center post as I was cleaning it giving it the once over and seen that thing and took my multipurpose volt meter and tested it and sure enough it was LIVE!!!!!! Lol.got the clone because a buddy has one and needed money.told.him no way, I said because of the hard short and he said his wasn't like that.I looked and the brand new clone had already fixed what district 5 overlooked.so the clone company fixed what they messed up.but after everyone was mad because that rd a almost killed people the cloners stop making it and never started production on them again.but I don't use them because they get hot!!!!I mean hot none of my rda get that hot.
Anybody who consider spending $55 on Layercake RDA should first see the video below... I will not buy it even for $5
