Hey all, I just received mine in the mail today. This is my very first rebuildable coil atomizer. I watched some videos on youtube, but I had a pretty hard time making the coil. I finally got it to work and it is leaking juice all out of the side air holes. It has to be coming from the screw hole or the center post where you adjust the airflow. However, I have checked and double-checked both of those screws and they are in as tight and snug as can be. Is anyone else having this issue or know what may be causing it? Also, can someone link me some really noob-friendly youtube links to building your first coil and tips and stuff?

Thanks a lot folks. I really want to like this thing.

I would attribute leaking to one or two things. How did you wick the coil? Tell us a little more about your build.

Did you fill the LEMO from the top, or did you fill it from the fill screw? DId you make sure that all the o rings are in place and everything is nice and tightly screwed in place?

Probably leaking past your wick. I'd bet 99 times out of 100, if a tank like this leaks, it's from a wick that's not covering a juice channel.

If you force juice into the tank when you're filling, you're likely to push your wicks out of the channel and cause a flood. Sometimes they will re-seat themselves simply by vaping.

I had everything all sealed up, and filled it using a syringe through the screw hole on the bottom.

I know my coil is not that great. It's kind of like a worn out spring and I think I used too much cotton. I didn't pay too much attention to the orientation or the juice channels when building. I've watched a few more videos and am about to dump it and try again.

I bought two of these a few weeks and have been most impressed with them. I like a very open draw and that's were these things really shine. I had been using Kayfuns for the last year and liked them more than anything else I had tried but everytime I bought one I found myself out in the garage with a drill trying to get more airflow. I had just bought a Fogger V4 about a week before I bought my 1st Lemo and was in love with it. Great airflow but the flavor was a little muted. Then I bought my first Lemo, WOW! Great flavor and wide open airflow, all for about $35! After a day's use I ordered another and glad I did.

I hope somebody at Eleaf is considering a LEMO NANO. I think it would be a great seller. I would buy a few to go with my full size Lemo's.

I bought an Eleaf Istick last week and have been extremely happy with it too. This is a very inovative company that's putting some truely nice original stuff at great prices. I'm glad to see them on the vaping scene.

I don't actually stuff any wick material into my juice channels, I just make sure that the wick is seated on the deck directly over top of the channels. I always re-adjust the wicks after I screw the chimney base on.

Me, too. Lemo and now an iStick as well. Wouldn't mind maybe a metal tank section as well as a nano.

Innovative vaping products that work well and are affordable, win-win!

I am beyond frustrated with this thing at this point. I built my 2nd coil after watching numerous videos on youtube. It was a microcoil. For the life of me, I could not get the wire to stay under the screw heads on the deck, so I had to force the bent up ends through the little holes. I did the same amount of wraps as the guy on youtube, yet he had a 1.4ohm coil, and mine is around 2.7ohm. Same gauge wire, same size drill bit.

Then, I did everything else just like the video showed me. I wet the cotton, pushed it up against the sides of the deck to "glue" it there, put everything together. It vaped fine. Then I filled the tank up with juice and it started leaking all out of the bottom holes. I made sure that EVERYTHING was super tight and sealed. It is coming out of the bottom screw where you change the airflow. So now, I have wasted 2 tanks of juice in this thing, and I'm basically using it without the glass as a dripper right now because it does still work. It is just the most pain in the ... thing I have ever messed with in my life.

I don't know if I have a faulty unit or what it is that I am doing wrong. Most everyone in this thread and reviews online say this is a great rebuildable. Like I said, this is my first and maybe my only if I can't seem to get this right. I feel bad and ashamed at myself that I cannot do this. I have not been able to find a single tank in this entire world that will not leak juice or break on me. It was either this, the delta, or give up vaping forever. I thought this would be easy and save me money vs. spending $4 a coil on the delta, but at this point, I'm thinking it might have been worth it to spend the extra money on the plug and play aspect of the delta, but who knows. That thing probably has problems, too.

I'm sorry for this rant. I am just tired, frustrated, and upset. :-(

Don't give up, it shouldn't be that hard. Here's what I do:

Wrap a coil around a drill bit (I use a 5/64" bit), hold the bit in place with the coil over the air inlet and wrap the legs around the screws. Tighten the screws and trim excess wire. Thread a long piece of cotton thru the coil and pull the ends up to screw on the lower chamber. Snip the ends of the cotton just above the chamber and GENTLY push/tamp the cotton down on each side of the coil to the juice channels. Prime the coil and cotton on each side of the deck with some juice and install the chimney. I have never had to "glue" the cotton to the deck with the chamber/chimney removed - it can be done that way, but I don't bother.

I've never had a leak on my Lemo using this method. Maybe some initial leaking on a Kayfun, but it stopped soon after filling the tank.

As far as the resistance of your coils, make sure you are tightening the screws down completely.

"Glue it to the sides of the deck" caught my eye. Your wick should cover the juice channel openings and sit on the deck. Some people stuff a little wick down into the channel, but most do not.

Also, be careful when you're filling so as not to create pressure in the tank, which can blow the wicks off/out of the channels.

Due to the larger build deck than the kayfun, I did a 3/32" coil, using 28 gauge. I think I have 8 wraps, but don't quit remember. Its 1.6 ohm.

For wicking, this is the video that helped me set up the kayfun, and I've done it the same on the Lemo. Both have worked well each time I've wicked, and I'm a newbie, too. I've never had a leak, and have gotten good vapes each time. Make sure when you put the Lemo on your mod that nothing else got loose as you tightened it down.

As far as coiling goes, that is an issue of method and practice. There are tools available to make it easier, such as the Qvapes coiler or Micropuck. If you aren't already, torch your kanthal until it glows along the full length before wrapping the coil. This will remove some of it's springiness and help it hold it's shape as you wrap. For the Lemo, considering it's large build deck and liquid wells, I recommend building a coil at least 2mm in diameter. I am currently using a 2.4mm bit to wrap for both of mine.

There is one of two things causing a leak. Either the tank itself has a vacuum leak, or the wicking is not adequate.

On the 2nd Lemo I received, there was not a black o-ring installed on the top chimney section where it screws into the top cap. That could be enough to cause a vacuum leak. Two spares were included with my kit, so I installed one of the spares on mine.

It sounds to me like there is a good chance that your wicking isn't adequate. The Lemo has deep liquid channels. Don't be afraid to cover the liquid wells with cotton. As long as it isn't "packed" into the wells, plugging the liquid channels, it will wick just fine. Take another look at the photos I posted in the initial post on this thread. That method has been working perfectly since the first try.

This video is a Pbusardo review for the Kayfun Lite/ Kebo Russian 91%. The build style is similar to what I'm recommending for the Lemo. Maybe it will help you to visualize the procedure. I build my Kayfuns the same as I do my Lemos.

I'm getting more than condensation. Next time I have to refill and re-wick I'll take it all apart and see what is going on.

My first build leaked from the driptip so badly that when I set the MVP on it side it flooded out. Wicking is tricky with this one, not too low, not too high, and the chimney is considerably bigger than the KF, so it needs more wicking material.

I have a 1.7 ohm build right now and it vapes zit. VERY little vapor. I'll try again wrapping a lower one today.

I've still had zero issues with leaking from either of my Lemos. I do believe you are correct, in that more wicking material is required for the Lemo if comparing it to a Kayfun.

For fun, I decided to read the included instructions, and Eleaf does recommend filling the liquid wells with "absorbent cotton" in a bunny ear style of wicking. In other words, when you are done, you shouldn't be able to see the bottom of the wells.

Yeah, I've had zero issues as well. Not even a micro drop of a leak. I'll be rewicking tonight again.

I chose the 3/32" coil in order to put more wick into it due to the large juice slots and chimney. Anyone still having a problem might even want to try 1/8". I have the exact same coil in the Taifun GT, and both have worked great for me.

I'm only vaping the Lemo at 11w because that's the limitation of my mvp. I have a feeling 13w would be better, but I'm lacking mods :)
