The Lemo RTA: A Build With Pics

Herro,

New member here. Just purchased a Lemo drop. I'm a little worried though, cuz I feel like the Atlantis's air flow may have spoiled me. I tried the Billow, and it was close, but the thing just leaked everywhere. So, how is the Lemo's airflow compared to the Atlantis? Is the flavor on par, or perhaps, even better?

Does anyone elses Lemo have burn marks on the 510 base and underside of tank section where the air holes are drilled?
Mine has those marks also, its overspray.doesn't effect the tank at all.and we can't see it unless the base is off. it doesn't really bother me to much.

Airflow is half of Atlantis, but you get full on flavor from juice with a Lemo...if you get the wicking right.

The air flow is definitely enough to satisfy me and I love airflow. The best thing about the tank is the flavor it throws

I would agree with the above poster, Lemo is about half the airflow. Even the Billow doesnt have Atlantis air.
The only tank I know of with equal/more airflow than the Atlantis is the new Youde Goblin and probably the Sub Ohm Innovations Silverplay.
Flavor on the Lemo is much better than the Atlantis however.

Having some trouble with my lemo, had it set up working really nicely, loads of vapour and flavour, work flawlessly for the day then sudden started leaking really badly, no seals missing and no idea what caused it

I found mine leaks if I wick it sloppy. It'll leak through the air flow. Idk if that makes sense or if its coincidental

I've gone thru that a couple time, couldn't tell you why, only that sometimes it'll just "let go!!" One time it happened, I had it in my pocket while driving, sitting in traffic. Not sure if it was due to everything being in a horizontal position and in my very warm pocket??!!

This style of tank (Lemo/Kayfun) is prone to leaking when left horizontal if the liquid level is low. If one of the liquid channels is exposed to the air pocket in the tank, the liquid seeks to even itself out through the other liquid channel and floods the chamber.

It's a "nature of the beast" type thing.

Anyone tried the Lemo with a mech mod?

If so with what kind and how did it work?

Thanks

Eric

I will be getting my SS Lemo Drop on Tuesday, which I bought specifically for my SS SMPL. Plan on setting it up with a .7 coil.

I was talking in another thread about the Lemo on a mech and wanted to add the comment here that I made there. if you have a hybrid style mech, be sure to drop that pin on the Lemo base, it is recessed by default.

Just a little update and review,

I've had my Lemo Drop for over a week now and it's been performing phenomenal with little to no issues. The stock coil only lasted 2-3 days for me, which I replaced with my own microcoil and it went strong for about 9 days before I had to dry-burn and rewick it. No leaking at all, great flavor, awesome clouds, easy to build and work with, and I only had one minor dry hit that got corrected with a few empty pulls.

Build and materials,

- Juices I've used with the Lemo Drop are all ~90% VG and thick.
- 28g Kanthal bound tightly and close/touching around a 2mm rod for about 8 wraps. Roughly ~1.4-1.5 ohms.
- Distance between coil and air hole is about 1-1.5mm
- I used Japanese cotton for my wicking material, trimmed at the top of the chimney base, then tucked into the bottom wall of the coil base with the juice holes exposed.

Pros,

- Sturdy and good material (Steel, rubber, glass, etc) for the price.
- Produces great flavor and clouds/vapor
- No leaking even if it's laid on its side or from changes in air pressure (Ex. Going into my car usually causes leaks in my Protank 2)
- Juice in the tank doesn't change color like it did in my Protank 2 (usually goes from light to dark)
- No machine oil/residue
- Good airflow (although the afc sucks)
- Looks amazing on my GGTS mechanical mod.

Cons,

- Air flow control is too loose and the change in airflow doesn't seem to be noticeable. It also moves around quite a bit due to it being so loose.
- The Lemo Drop won't fire sometimes because of the 510 connection pin moving around when it's tightened down. Not sure what is going on here but it only happens when I reattach the Lemo Drop onto my mod. I fix it by taking it off and then tightening the 510 connection pin each time I reattach it.
- Wish I could take out the coil base without having to disassemble the entire thing (as with the Protank 2). Waste of a little bit of juice and time but it's not a big deal.

Overall, I am a very happy vapor at the moment and this is a huge upgrade for me from the Protank 2. The Lemo Drop provides a very consistent and satisfying vaping experience. 9.5/10

Ok rewicked mine and all went well...... Until I left it laid on its side, seems the second the vacuum breaks the fluid just runs out of it, not much use for me as I drive for a living and my kit spends most of its time laid on its side to stop it toppling over, going to try a vertical build and pack round the coil with cotton then rayon to see if it makes a difference

Something isn't right.

Maybe try using it a bit more cotton in the juice wells. I've never had one leak like that. While I don't personally lay mine on their side for extended periods, my wife does, and it's not been an issue. She uses hers on an iStick and leaves it on it's side all night while it's charging without losing a drop.

Are you certain all the seals are in place, and in good condition? including the small black o-ring on the top chimney section? One of my Lemo's was missing that seal out of the box. There are spares included, if that's the case.

I've re wicked mine and I raised the coil up a bit more from the air hole to see if that helps, will report back later

I found it helps when I tuck the wick down a bit, not block the juice wells but tuck it in enough so the wells are still open. I'll use a little cotton for that and then I'll take a tiny piece cotton and lay it on top of the wick and drip on it so it kinda sinks and blends with the wick

An update on my Atlantis purchase.. Flavor isn't as good as the lemo of course but the airflow is awesome. The only thing better is the convenience of grabbing it an taking off rather than making sure my build is ready for the road. I also picked up a dark horse RDA at the same time, so neither the lemo or Atlantis have seen much attention this evening

How hard do you have to pull on these things to draw juice out with airflowring removed? I seem to barely get a small airbubble on a 5-6sec pull. Which is way less juice then what's being vaporized. Hence wicking is not keeping up. And my juice channels are DEFINITELY clear this time.
The juice is Alpha vape - Manchu. Which seems to be 70vg/30pg. But previous experience with other wicks has also been a very small airbubble on 50/50.
Just can't get my head around how to make this thing work as I want. And adding the airflow control again to restrict airflow increasing the juicedrag seems a little counterproductive as I've grown to like the airy draw.
