I'm certainly no expert, but wouldn't the VG be diluted with something like distilled water, or alcohol? Straight VG is very thick.

Are you referring to my original post?

I too believe that AV blends are diluted to some extent, but I've no idea if they're using distilled water, or alcohol, or what-not. At this point, rather than targeting a direct mimic recipe for the famed juices I adore, I am instead trying a myrad of flavorings, and if I find something that starts to taste similar, then I'll roll with it.

I feel that I should come and report some additional findings to my last flavoring impression.

I have come to the final conclusion that the FW Double Dutch chocolate isn't quite as I had expected. At 3 drops per 5mls, it wasn't that bad, so I had thought. I added another 3 drops to that solution, and it quickly started tasting burnt. Okay, so, somewhere in between, right?

I tried mixing it into another blend that I utilize daily, and it has changed it enough (2 drops added) that I don't like it as much as the original.

So, take it with a grain of salt. I thought it was the end all to my chocolate desire, but alas, it appears I am back on the search. I will be trying TFA's version of the Double chocolate soon, and so on and so forth :vapor:

Went a little crazy on this one:

3 drops (TFA) Blueberry extra
2 drops (CAP) Graham cracker
1 drop (TFA) Dragon fruit
1 drop (CAP) Vanilla Custard
1 drop (CAP) Strawberries and cream
1 drop (VZ) Coconut

(Additional info: 5mls, 80vg, 10mg)

:D Let's see how it vapes... well, interesting I suppose could be used here, lol.

I rinsed out an older bottle, and used it for this mix. I think I might be tasting some old, stale juice aroma, hahah. Let me try and discern the flavors otherwise from this *ahem* unique blend :D

Oddly enough, I can't really taste the blueberry. The vanilla I can taste, though, mixed with all of this nonsense, it doesn't taste as it would alone, not necessarily bad. That strawberry is coming through well enough in the after taste. The initial taste is a little odd. I do believe I am getting the graham cracker. Coconut, more like cocoNOT, her her :D (Throwin' some corny one liners here)... point being, I cannot taste it. I added the one drop of Dragon Fruit, because to me, it tastes like sugar fruit candy, and I figured it might be a decent addition to help sweeten the blend. If it's working, I cannot tell. And, of course, my batteries die.

Ah well, I'll report any differences later, if any exist.

Levitas I'm gonna scan the thread in case I missed this, but did you settle on a percentage for straight TFA blueberry extra? Just got my bottle and about to let it rip. Thanks man

Ya know, I haven't really tried it in lower than 10%, other than when trying to mix it with other flavors. One thing I've noticed is, that Blueberry likes to hide when mixed with certain flavors. On its own, however, 10% is just swell. Nice and sweet, and to me, requires no additional sweetener, or steep time. Just an excellent flavor, really.

Okay, so, it's been nearly a week. Let's try it again.

This... is actually pretty good. It has a very minor spice, although hidden within a sweet creamy foreground of flavor. I want to attribute this to the graham cracker, but cannot say for sure. You know, I really just love the way coconut mixes with other flavorings. If used sparsely enough, it really adds an appropriate extra flavor kick. As is, I can still pick out the strawberry and vanilla custard, though, they are mixed in much finer now, over fresh. In fact, I can even slightly pick out the dragon fruit, as I believe this is giving it an overall sweeter, sugary taste (exactly what I was aiming for).

If the blueberry is there, I cannot discern it from the rest. It leaves me to wonder, if I omit it from the recipe, would it still be this tasty? See, that's how I experiment. I taste individual flavorings, and every once in a while, mash a bunch together that I think might work. Then, I later take out flavorings to see how the recipe changed, if at all. This is how I figure out %'s used in any particular blend, that is, for a final result (not to say, I don't necessarily just throw the recipe out immediately, I try it until the bottle is finished, or, if I can no longer stand the taste.... which has happened more than a few times ;) )

All in all, I am enjoying this concoction. I can see myself working with this. If you've the flavorings involved (anyone), give it a try! And let me know what you think.

On a separate note: My personal rendition of the Boba's Clone (though I don't believe it to be that at all) has entered into my all day arsenal. Something I'm not only proud of, but glad to have enter the ranks of my daily vaping. :vapor: More flavorings coming soon.

I added a little vanilla cupcake to the 10% Blueberry extra, turned out pretty good, my sister thought it was awesome.
But I like the Apple pie and CDS combo so much I always go back to it, just made another 30ml jug.
It's been my all day vape for a while.
5% (TFA) Apple pie
1% (Cap) CDS
I increased the Apple to 6% on the last batch .

I didnt really keep exact measurments on the vanilla cupcake
Had some of the v cupcake left from a sample I mixed then added it to the blueberry.
Start with 1% cupcake "or less" with the 10% Blueberry and see where you like it.

May put some plain cupcake or cake on the next order, maybe a little icing of some sort, "blueberry cake"?

Thats the fun part.
Things I would never thought I would like turned out to be pretty good.
I dont vape tobaccos, have 3 flavors and so far only tried one "M-type" @ 2% wow had to clean everything with PGA to get rid of that nasty smell! I let it steep for over a month just to find it was something I could not vape.
Some people like it some dont, same with any flavoring/mix I guess,,
Right now I'm working on a double RY4 with Coconut, Bavarian creme and Acetyl Pyrazine.
It's not bad as is, vaping it right now but still trying different %'s and adding other flavors/sweeterners to the mix before I make a jug to steep.
One thing for sure I need to keep better notes on what the heck I'm doing !

Just started playin with Acetyl Pyrazine myself, it kinda has a strange nutty flavor, just trying to see how it works with other flavors.
I've went to far in adding both AP and coconut to the RY4, but it's mainly the Acetyl Pyrazine I went overboard with. Now it's just a dry dull flavor with the over dose of Acetyl Pyrazine.
The mix I first started with was not to bad and I thought I was on track to make something great but so far nothing to get excited about.

Pretty new at DIY so I'm still learning

I have altered this recipe slightly.

2 drops (VZ) Black and Mild
2 drops (VZ) Coconut
3 drops (TFA) Smooth
1/5 drop (FW) Cinnamon churro
1/5 drop (CAP) Chocolate Fudge brownie

It's actually pretty good, I'm enjoying it. I believe it to be a suitable base for something more, or perhaps a stand alone. I'm torn between vaping it as is, adding some (LA) Chocolate, or adding some (TFA) Banana nut bread. I think a good milk chocolate would make it, I have some (FW) Double dutch chocolate coming in, and might try some of that in this revision.

Any ideas? Anyone have these flavors, and wish to comment?

Edit: I also wanted to mention, after trying the Brown Sugar (TFA), I am having mixed feelings on it. It seems to give a coarse feeling on the throat, and though it's not bad on the palate, I don't know if I can handle it on the throat. Anyone else have similar reactions to this flavoring?
I need to get some of that Churro.

Re the Brown Sugar ...I got the same reaction as well as with Molasses... but then again, maybe there's too much molasses in the brown sugar?
off topic>>> Could it be the carriers that are used for flavors? I'm still experimenting. I have problems with a lot of the TPA flavors. Some are just too perfumey (which never goes away even with long steeping in some cases). I'm kind of narrowing it down to the carriers. PG as a carrier or when I add pg to my 100% VG nic base makes me cough when I inhale lol. Yet, PG does help make flavors POP, sigh

i've tried TFA BNB and TFA double choc dark, to the ratio of 10 drops to 2 drop for a 10ml and i must say this is quite a vape.
BNB on the inhale and fire as i can smell the bread bananas, exhale a hint of dark choc, quite exquisite

I have this apple pie and have mixed it on it's own. All I could taste was coconut. So, I'm extremely interested in Bob's recipe here. My problem is not knowing what "CDS" is. Capella's CDS? What is it?

Thank you!

Next...

Levitas, would you post (re-post) your final banana nut bread, chocolate fudge brownie recipe, please? I've read the whole thread and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I'm too lazy to go back and find that recipe. Thank you!
