DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
#3 is something i relate to VERY much.....not sure why...but you hit the nail on the head. maybe more oxygenation to the brain cells? i dunno.....but i never expected THIS to be one of the changes i would feel.
i smoked 27 years pack and a half a day and have been smoke free for almost 2 months now.
i was married to my cigarettes. i have been set free...
glad you like my thread....i think i should earn a "sticky" for this!

Wow! This thread is awesome. :)

Tomorrow I'm on day 8 of strictly vaping (haven't had one puff of a cig since I got my V2Cig in the mail), and I've noticed a whole host of things...

1. The smell, obviously. This was the thing I DESPISED about smoking the most.
2. I am sleeping like a freaking champ. Normally I wake up at 6:30 AM on the weekends and can't go back to sleep...the last two days I went back to bed and slept until 9:00! Sweet! And I feel great when I wake up instead of aching everywhere.
3. Everything seems to have more clarity. I can't explain it, but the world around me seems so much clearer.
4. No more guilt...Every kind of it. (This is huge.)
5. The multi-vitamin I've been taking is actually doing what it's supposed to instead of getting eaten up by toxins from cigs.
6. I don't have to deal with people harassing me about being such a hypocrite because I'm a health-nut/herbalist who smokes.
7. Not having to cut visits short with non-smoking friends and relatives because I need to smoke.
8. My husband is so proud of me that he got teary-eyed and told me so. That was the BEST. :)

I could go on all night, but I have to go order some more juice. ;)

7. Not having to cut visits short with non-smoking friends and relatives because I need to smoke.

I have only been vaping for about two weeks, and had my last analog about 7 days ago, but I'm already loving the benefits. The above-mentioned I wholeheartedly agree with. My family is very anti-smoking as my Grandmother passed away from lung cancer - I always felt guilty about needing to cut my visits short as I refused to smoke around them, but consistently came up with some sort of excuse to leave so I could feed my addiction.

The most recent things I've noticed are:

I went to the bar to shoot pool last night and the beer tasted WAY better, much more complex! I do love beer.

I no longer have to go out in the elements (today it is raining) to "get my fix" as my boss encourages vaping and I am allowed to do so in my cubicle. I would say break is even better now, as I have the freedom to spend it as a choose, not being chained to the smoke shack or my vehicle!

I am no longer hear myself wheezing as I fall asleep at night.

Who knew that 7 days would make such a difference? I can't wait to see the world as a vapor in 6 months, 1 year, etc...

Cheers.

In A Padded Cell
Not waking up in the middle of the night or morning (especially in winter) with that tight sharp feeling in my lungs.
No more icky smoker phlegm.
No more morning sore throat.
No more conversations in my head about how I am killing myself.
No more smelly hands, hair, clothes etc which was already mentioned.
Only thing I miss is not having an available lighter. Went to light the grill the other day, ended up lighting a candle with a piece of spaghetti from the stove, taking spaghetti and candle out to the deck to light the grill. Good grief! LOL!

ETA: I am at over five months, stuck with it, there were times I was tempted after about a month of vaping. This may come and go for some of you. If you find yourself missing something, rob your bank account and get some mods and whatever else it takes to keep you interested in vaping and too poor to buy cigs, because you will finally hit the point that even on a super bad day when you might think a cig would be a good thing you'll find out it will not help and not want it. Happened to me a few weeks back, really bad stress/crap and was so agitated that I grabbed one of my husband's smokes and went outside, took one hit tossed it and knew I finally was done for good. I can't explain it but for those that have quit and started, even when that first one tasted bad, this was different because yes it tasted bad but no, I did not get that immediate calming feeling, and that was the greatest change of all because I finally know that I am free!

Reading through all of the great replies was inspiring. The advantages are way more than I originally thought and almost every one of them made me shake my head agreeing with the benefits. I personally love the fact I don't have to scrape off that nasty residue from the windows of my car anymore. The dust has been greatly reduced in my house and car.
I have caught an upper respiratory infection but honestly it's never been this easy to breath while being sick. I figure after 25 years of smoking this little bump in the road is far better than the alternative and I remember this sickness being much more problematic when I smoked.

- Much more comfortable with giving my (non- smoking) wife a big old kiss
- Not having to basically scrub my hands, face, nasal passages before getting frisky with the wife

As you can tell i'm having much more fun now that i'm constantly not having to check myself (nigh on impossible as a smoker) for the smell/taste of cigarettes before getting close to the better half.

- Being able to hang up a shirt to wear later in the day because I know it still smells fresh
- Not having to dodge golf balls when I had to go outside to smoke (our place backs onto a golf coure...with possibly the worst golfers in the world playing on it).
