No more yellow fingers!
and FOOD! Everything is so much more complex!
Work is easier too because I can breathe!
Sleeping has been the best part.
I haven't slept on my back for 10 years because it always made my throat "whistle" and that has gone away.
I can breathe through my nose which never worked before

the only downside really has been my spicy food addiction. I can't handle near the spice I could before. But I also don't add salt and pepper to everything I eat anymore either!

Currently sh***ing bricks due to major constipation, due to what i've found out to be the lack of nicotine in my body (I vape 18mg and 24mg with an LR atty on an ego, seem to be not working for me). Not a good thing because its really painful, but i guess a great sign that i'm getting off of the nicotine addiction :)

reading all the posts i found myself nodding and smiling to them all:) i love that my children love that i'm not smoking (they are 18, 8 and 6yrs old) and that with the money saved i can treat THEM, my husband has never smoked and i feel sooo much better kissing him knowing i don't stink. Not going outside in the rain to smoke (i'm from Manchester England, famous for the rain lol) when it's raining and i'm vaping it makes me smile. i love that if i don't have to worry about having enough to last the night and into the next morning. I can tell how long it's been since someone next to me has had a cig just on the strength oF thier smell.
I LOVE THE FREEDOM.

This isn't really a benefit of not smoking, but a benefit of using a PV instead of another NRT:

90% of my friends smoke. If I were trying to get off of analogs cold turkey or with the gum or patch, I would feel the need to avoid social situations where everyone would be smoking. And in my circle of friends, that's EVERY situation. I can still hang out, and while I might crave an analog a little bit, I'm not very tempted. I have an alternative that's close enough to the real thing that I can still "participate." And now my best friend wants to order one :)

I need to find out what kind of shampoo everyone uses, because my hair still doesn't smell good by nightfall - in fact I'm pretty sure it still smells like smoke :(
That's probably the smoke from your dragon exhaling. If you want, I'll take care of him for you. I love him.

The Good
My allergies are so much better. They're still there, but more manageable.

Not having Annabella, my yellow-collar macaw, lunge and try to bite me if I picked up a pack of matches. The only thing my birds hated more than my smoking was my trying to leave the room to smoke away from them.

The bodega at my corner, which is actually cheaper than the big drugstores, now charges $12.75 for a pack of my brand. It was $10.50 when I quit in December. (And I smoked just over 3 packs a day.)

The Bad
Poeia (mitred conure) and Annabella are almost as jealous of my vaping supplies as they are of the telephone. And they are not at all shy about letting me know.

I loved reading through this thread. I can relate to so many of them. I thought of a couple of more that I don't think were mentioned.

Not having to worry about dropping a lit cigarette while driving 70mph.
Being able to buy perfume again because now people can actually smell it.
No longer running around the house in a panic because I could swear I just lit a cig, but I can't find it.
The new feeling of empowerment that I have experienced because I took control of my adddiction and overcame it.
Being able to not wear an adult diaper because I coughed so bad that I was constantly having accidents.
Having people telling me how proud they are of me.

Please keep this thread going. Reading it reminded me of so many other things that I had forgotten. Vaping is even more wonderful to me after reading all these things.
