And I was reminded of another cig smoking one... ya know how sometimes you'd put a cig out in a pop can... then later not think about it and pick up the pop can and try to take a drink... EWWWW... that I don't miss LOL

Heather, that's one of the ingredients of a typical college-dorm breakfast:
Any pizza slice that's not stuck to the lid, and any beer that doesn't contain a cigarette ..... :D

I cut-and-pasted all the replies in this thread into Notepad and am going to print it out for my wife, (who still clings to the demon analogs). If all the printed words don't convince her to join "us", I think I'm going to resort to some underhanded subliminal message therapy.

Getting to book non smoking rooms with a better view, better model non smoking rental cars, are a big plus. No more crumpled up empty packs on the floor of my car. No more make shift car ashtrays of cans to worry about. heck, no more lighters either. I can drive with the windows down when it rains, or have the AC on when it's hot. No more buying stupid car air freshners or sprays. No more dropped cinders or or that layer of ash dust on my surfaces. I don't have to worry that I droped a lit cig while driving and having to make a quick exit to the off ramp before the fire starts (heheh yes it's happened). And no more worrying if the podunk gas station has my brand (I was a Djarum Clove smoker before the ban and not all places sold them). The only check I do now is to see if my cart and batteries aare topped off. woohoo!

awesome idea-about cutting and pasting all the replies. if she reads all the advantages to vaping, maybe she will be open to giving it a shot. if i can quit smoking analogs, ANYONE can. i was a chain smoker, major nicotine addict. 27 years pack plus a day.

no more reaching for my pack o'smokes all the way across the dash of my truck after taking a sharp left turn.

no more cig butts flying back into my truck when i attempt to toss them out the window.

no more starting fires in my ashtray cause im too lazy to dump it when it gets full.

no more forgetting about my cig in the ashtray and waisting it all.

no more killing Dude (my dog) with second hand smoke.

I can vape my brains out all day and I feel great :vapor:

I feel rich and have money to spend on stuff like hair appointments and new clothes (and extra attys and new colored drip tips and oh sure a sampler of Grape Ape what the hel).

My skin looks better then it has in a year.

My face and eyes aren't puffy when I wake up in the morning.

Did I mention I feel rich? I can't believe how much extra money I have, it's absolutely amazing. Vaping is so much cheaper then smoking I really had no idea the savings.

absolutely agree with all you say. if other women just knew! yes, i too can chain vape and still feel great. i wake up feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed-completely alert, not groggy. and the most amazing difference besides this, is skin color and texture. after just three weeks of no analogs, i LOOK so much better! i cannot believe it. there is not enough Retin A in the world that could have helped my skin texture as much as quitting analogs. EVERYONE has noticed. its truly amazing.
and the amount of physical and mental energy has increased VASTLY. i am NEVER EVER going back to analogs as long as ecigs are around! and thanks to ecigs, i may not be spending as much on plastic surgeons in my middle age.

I too have a couple to add:

*not constantly moving your cigarette around because there the kids are dancing around your feet.

*actually NOT accidentally burning one of the kids and not having to worry about it (it's happened a couple times and each time it's happened i've felt like the most horrible parent EVER)

*my KIDS' hair and clothes don't smell like smoke

This isn't really a benefit of not smoking, but a benefit of using a PV instead of another NRT:

90% of my friends smoke. If I were trying to get off of analogs cold turkey or with the gum or patch, I would feel the need to avoid social situations where everyone would be smoking. And in my circle of friends, that's EVERY situation. I can still hang out, and while I might crave an analog a little bit, I'm not very tempted. I have an alternative that's close enough to the real thing that I can still "participate." And now my best friend wants to order one :)

This is one of my favorites. I posted a similar story about members of my band and how I can still participate in our "smoke breaks". It's awesome!

PS: 2 of the members are very interested and say that want to buy a PV of their own soon!
