Day five for me...not that I'm counting, actually, because this almost seems too easy! But here's my already growing list:

Realized I needed to buy my son some diapers the other day...and didn't have to schedule it separate from my smoke purchase. I hated that look from the clerk...uh huh, bad mommy. Listen lady, I used cloth diapers for a year and a half on him, so there!

Did everyone at work suddenly start wearing cologne and perfume? Hmmmm.

Did the regular work coffee always taste this bad? And is the premium coffee really this good? Same thing with wine, beer, water out of the tap, teas, random sodas, pretty much every beverage...I thought I was a wine/beer/coffee snob before, oh man...and food. Goodness. Even gum tastes amazing. And the two cigs I tried to have were so awful, I had to stub them out after one puff.

I started vaping this past weekend, and I actually spent an entire day with my son, without him waving bye-bye to Mommy every hour to hour and a half. Parents will always feel guilty about something, but that's one less huge effing gorilla off my back.

Just found out I have to go away for a business trip. Automatically looked up the smoking areas at the resort...then realized...I can vape in my room! No more going outside at a hotel in my pjs, not awake, smoking and catching dirty looks.

Hair is better. Teeth feel cleaner. Can go up stairs without feeling like I ran a marathon! Don't have to peer through the window making sure commercials are still going. Don't have to feel like I wasted a shower by smoking right after. Don't have to feel like the world's biggest leper and hypocrite, as I stand outside the health food store sneaking a smoke. Don't have to hear "how can a vegetarian smoke??"

Oh, thank you, PVs. This is changing my life.

Not being screwed without a lighter, I don't have my PV yet but It's on it's way and I'm excited. Last year deer hunting my lighter ran out of fluid about 15 kilometers from camp. I resorted to dipping pieces of my cigarette pack into the gas tank of my 4 wheeler and lighting that on fire with spark from the empty lighter. That was a sad day, the first day I truly realized my smoking had gotten out of hand and that I wasn't just smoking because I enjoyed it. I needed it.

I'm a full-time mom and at least once an hour when I'm alone with my son I sneak into the bathroom to smoke up towards the exhaust fan. Not only does this only marginally fulfill my intention to "not smoke in the house" it also requires a bit of strategizing. He's two - he likes attention and he needs lots of supervision. So I need to get him interested in something, then sneak away, then wash my hands and come back out. I do this so frequently that one of his first phrases was "a little break." As in "Mommy's taking a little break." :/ Anyway, that means that about 20 minutes out of every hour spent with him was preoccupied somehow with smoking - planning for it, doing it, washing away the evidence.

I don't intend to vape in front of him constantly, but it's entirely different to just step into the kitchen, take a few drags, and then put the PV back in my pocket. It's like a few hours of time spent with my child added onto each day. :)

I'm looking forward to warmer weather and road trips and not having to wait for the gas tank on my motorcycle to need filling because I can vape and ride!

I just spent nearly an hour reading through this whole thread, and identified with much of it.

I'll add a bad that I didn't see in here: finding e-cigs too late. After a cigarette I'd tossed out the window flew back in and burned a hole in the brand new leather upholstery in MOH's convertible before I noticed it. I'll feel bad about that every time I look at it, until I can scrape up the money for a new rear seat kit. :(

ETA: It's been really hard to stop myself from turning into one of those militant ex-smokers. That smell when someone comes in from having a cigarette is so incredibly vile. I've tried to turn it into an opportunity to tell someone else about vaping - I'm going to keep trying, because there's nothing more irritating than a militant ex-smoker.

Or even worse....not getting busted smoking in the airplane bathroom. WOW that alarm is LOUD!

Made me laugh. I'm sure it wasn't funny for you at the time but I can image the sheer panic you must have felt.

I've only been vaping for a few days but I really like the hobby aspect of it. I've been visiting forums and watching videos constantly. I have a huge list of juice I want to buy, new PVs that I want to get down the road, DIY supplies I need, and recipes I want to try out.

Also, these are obvious and have been mentioned, but I love vaping inside and I can vape as much or as little as I choose.

My children no longer come into my home office coughing and waving the smoke away just to give me a hug. My 4 year old told me he likes my cigarette that don't break and don't smell bad cuz they don't make him cough. :( I still smoke some analogs, but definitely not 3 packs a day like I was so the smell is proportionately better in my office :)
