I made a flashlight Magnum a while back, it worked okay, but the circuit board kept coming loose. More importantly the switches kept dying, and I was burning up atomizers all the time. I found a solution for both
The MagBox. The BoxMag. The Magnum in a box.
Not wanting to waste my money on the 3v CR2 batteries and charger I bought, I worked out a way to wiggle 2 CR2s in the place of one AA, in a 2 AA holder. I had to relocate the springed battery contact to have enough clearance lengthwise. CR2s are 1 millimeter wider than AAs, so I had scrape some plastic away from the divider between the cells to make clearance widthwise. I scraped some plastic off the cover to make more room as well, but the cover still sits crooked, so it has to be screwed ito place to stay together. The other key part of this mod is leaving the centre post of the battery connector open for more airflow, to keep the atomizer from burning up so quickly. So the draw is light on an RN4075 atomizer and REALLY light on a true DSE901 atomizer, since the DSE has a larger hole on the side than the RN. And the vapour is unholy. This is running at 6 volts with the rechargeable CR2s, a 2 second draw makes more vapour than a 5 second draw on a standard e-cig battery, or standard 3.7 volt mod. I get some harsh hits off it when the liquid runs low, it's a real juice hog, so it's for special occasions only! Next I have to find a slide on/off main power switch to add above the push switch so it's pocketable. I don't need another one going up in smoke in my jacket or pants!
