After several days use I'm liking the Marquis a great deal. Looks like I'm preferring KGD wick instead of rayon in it. The flavor is very very good and the vapor production is dense at 21-22 watts.

I have some KGD in with my Marquis order.
I don't have a regulated mod but have had a VS Rdna40 on order since cybermonday so am hoping to have that mid Jan.
Looking forward to the new year.
That is done deliberately to make building easier. If the rods fit any more snugly it would make it quite difficult and annoying to place and remove the building rods.

No one has mentioned the plethora of clones that are flooding eBay. I bought one but it won't be here for a while. I see many of them don't have the positive screw with the lip to help trap the wire. Mine appears to if the pictures are accurate (which the vendor says they are). Can't wait to try this with the dna 40 box mod I'm getting on Monday. Anyone else out there buying a clone?

I have rebuilt it 3 times and all have been sub-par compared to my Hobo. My latest build has been best thus far. 6/7 wrap 26g 3mm ID dual verticals ohming out to .51 and wicked with rayon. For whatever reason, the flavor just isn't quite there for me yet.
I'm going to shoot for a lower build as the one that I have in there now is better than the builds before it and it is lower ohms than they were. I run my Hobo at .18 and absolutely love it!

I should have my marquis by the weekend and I'll try 7/8 wrap on a 2.5mm mandrel and see how it goes. Like my veritas, I'm betting smaller i.d. coils will work well for me on the marquis and give it more air flow around the coils.
Will also be wicking using my lifetime supply of rayon-lol
Good deal 67tele! Not sure what you mean on wrapping the tabs thing? Do you mean mounting the coil? I love the ease of build on this thing. I have had none easier than this.
I'll snap a pic or two when I rebuild it tonight. Probably do a 4/5 wrap and see how that turns out.
Hmm, smaller inside diameter coils, huh? Perhaps I should give that a try as well. We'll see.
Yeah, I'm referring to it as the Busardo sized box after watching his wicking comparison videos.
btw, question for y'all. I'm using either a Vapor Shark rDNA 30 or Hana V3 30w. Both with VTC4s and have been using a 1.0 ohm single coil. Will dual vertical coils using 28 gauge Kanthal ending up at .8 ohms be o.k. to use with this equipment? Wanna make sure I don't stress anything.
