Many brand-name starter kits (including some of those that are rip-off mall-kiosk types) tend to come in only two flavors: menthol and tobacco. This makes some sense since they are being presented as an alternative to smoking and they want to have something that smokers will find familiar.
But I can't help but wonder if part of it is a desire to avoid the nebby types who are so quick to assume that anything sweet must be "marketed towards kids" --granted tobacco companies *did* try to market toward kids at one time, but the sweet vape flavors just aren't appealing to that market: they are bought by adults who realize that the activity they have chosen to replace smoking need not taste as nasty as smoking often tastes. (No offense to those of you who like tobacco flavors... though, I will say even the tobacco vapes are must sweeter and more pleasant than ANY analog-- but I digress.)
So, is this really a "thing" ?
I'm very curious about this technology and have frankly started collecting the things, but when I see a kit that has only "menthol and Tobacco" options I pass.
How popular are "menthol and Tobacco" when compared to the other wider range of flavors? From the forums I get the impression most people have moved on to more exotic tastes. Is that the case?
