Thanks R-fire! The concealment thing is big for me, so the Mini is probably the right choice. I just wanted to make sure there were no "other" advantages to the Grand. Thanks again!

I have both and IMO the Grand performs noticeably better. In particular the larger catch cup helps for the way I vape.
With a Cisco 1.5Ω atty I keep it so wet that if I put one on a mini and let it sit I can overflow the hole cup (its very small)

So my mini is a cartomizer mod for out and about ... the cup stays dry with cartos on it.
Otherwise there is always some juice in there that can dip out if you pocket it.

And the Grand hits harder than the mini ... just the limitation of the 14500 (yes I use AW IMR red batts)

I know other will disagree, but thats been my experience with owning both.

(And don't conceal it, be a proud REOnaut ... show it off)

So have you decided?

This is becoming an arduous decision! This will be my first mod, an EGO w/ L.R. atty and drip tip has been my device to this point. It conceals nicely at work and the 650 mah battery will normally last a full day on a fresh charge. A 30mil. bottle of juice will typically last from eight to ten days.

On the surface those numbers seem to point to the "Mini", and I always carry a backup battery in the event the 24 hrs cycle lands me in the middle of the day- so ONE Mini backup is not an issue. The Mini reservoir concerns me from some who have said that the Mini will blead in your pocket, unlike the Grand, due to its larger reservoir. I've heard some say that, for some reason, the Grand gives more of a mod type vaping experience, whereas others claim identical performance.

One thing is for sure, this is going to happen. I've not seen a closer knit, more universally satisfied "mod group" in any forum quite like the REO following. You guys are incredible; I look forward to sharing a common ground with you all! Thank you!

One important thing to remember .... I can guarantee (and other REOnauts will back me) .....

If you Vape 3ml a day now dripping with an eGo ..... You will vape 6ml a day with a REO :)
Its so much easier and tastes great .... you will vape more .... Trust me.

My Vote is for a Grand

A) it conceals just fine
B) it goes on sale sooner :)

Edit: Did I mention you will vape more with a REO ??

I just can't stop using the Mini...my Grand is looking very sad.. But wow the mini is so perfect..

Really ? Thats Great, I'm the other way around. My mini only gets used if I go out for short trips. And I'm home 90% of the time.

I really find the small catch cup on the mini an issue ....

Its the only complaint of any kind I have ever had with any of the REOs. The mini needs a larger catch cup IMO.

Deeper would help a little, but its really the Dia that kills it for me. I realize its a sacrifice that had to be made for the size of the mod though.

Obviously I'm in the minority because there are hundreds of happy Mini owners such as yourself out there.

I just use cartomizers on my mini and its all good. Don't need a catch cup at all with those :)

Thanks big hitter, the pendulum has swung.... Looking like the Grand right now! Maybe a Mini Woodvil down the road.
As it's set up on the prototype mini woodvil, the brass "catch cup" is the same as the regular woodvil so what BH spoke up shouldn't be a problem!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the size of the Grand once you hold one.
Most owners report all REOs being smaller than they thought by looking at pics online.

But I tell you what, buy a grand in any color you like and if you are not happy with it for any reason, PM me and I will trade you my 6 week old Blk/Blk Mini that looks and works like new.

Or you could alway sell it for almost what you paid and wait for Minis.
But if you wan't to trade you would only be without REO for 2-3 days for priority mail.

Good luck on sale night :)

I know, it going to be a sweet set-up for sure.
I'm front row for opening night on that one .... like I would be any place else :)

Sorry to bring up an old(ish) thread, had a quick Mini question.

The two IMR 1450 batts that I've found are 600 & 750 mAh, with a $2.50 price difference between the two.

Question being: Which mAh would you recommend, and is the $2.5 really worth the extra 150 mAh?

(I vape 3-4 ml/day) - Thanks!

Love this quote btw, says it all.

EDIT: Are the AW IMR 1450's protected? Is it safe to use unprotected batteries?

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...if-reo-your-first-mod-what-you-will-need.html These are the ones you want for the Mini. Period. Nothing else will perform as well.

Yes, they are NOT protected because they are safe chemistry batteries. ECF says that the safe chemistry batteries are safer than protected lithium. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9007-warning-rechargeable-batteries-mods.html

Tomorrows the BIG day! I was however wondering how often polished doors are on units; I see a few pictures of some on the site. Also, does he list the pictures of everything that is in stock prior to the bell at 7:00? It would be nice to shop and decide just before the doors open.

Pictures are being updated as time allows. Unfortunately, the polished finish has gone by the way side...too costly to produce and maintain as they do scratch easily (my polished mini is covered in tiny scratch marks). I believe as the new mods arrive, he will be taking pictures and uploading them just like he has done in the past. With the wood mods, he loaded the pictures first and folks got a "preview" of sorts. But don't take my word for it...I'm sure Rob will correct me shortly. :)
