Ok so this is day 3 for me analog free after 20 years of smoking a pack a day. So I feel I am understandably excited LOL. Anyway I was telling my rabid anti-smoking brother about how I had quit the analogs and was vaping instead. He told me he had seen it at the mall at a kiosk and that no matter what anyone told him he had seen the smoke and that it WAS smoke. So I attempted to explain as best I could with my newfound knowledge from ECF that it was vapor and essentially the same thing fog machines put out and was even used in asthma inhalers just to mention a few. So he tells me it doesn't matter, it is still essentially smoking. LOL so I said he was basically a smoker because he went to clubs and concerts with smoke machines and he had used an inhaler after a good bout of bronchitis. LOL so he tells me no he isnt because he isnt a "smoker". Literally what he said. confused? LOL WTH? I gave up and changed the subject. Anyone else have the Rabid anti smokers around who can't be reasoned with?

I dont have one of the rabid nonsmokers in family, but my mother (who smokes) is hell bent on believing I am just trading one for the other. I guess in a way we are- but I think I would rather be hooked doing this than smoking analogs again! Granted I have been tempted- but resisted! In fact my hubby was sitting next to me on the couch and he lit up an analog :/ He asked if it bothered me and I of course lied and said no. It did kinda bother me- but more so the smoke in the air than him smoking. But I figure I have to get used to it and over it. Pretty much all of my close family smokes- Mom, Dad, Stepmom, Sister, and Hubby and these are the people I spend time with. I dont want to be one of those people that quits smoking and goes nuts when people around me smoke or light up!

Unfortunately its impossible to reason with people whom have already closed their minds to logic and reasoning different then their point of view. Unfortunately there are way too many of those people. You're not likely to ever change his mind so dont waste the energy trying. What you're doing is GOOD for YOU and that's all that REALLY matters.

CONGRATS on your 3 days of being analog free !! That is a wonderful thing !! Your journey into vaping is just beginning and there are still so many great things for you to look forward to you !!! Hope you stay excited and enjoy every minute of your new found freedom away from smoking !!!!!!

Yup, subject to ridicule initially myself. Pretty much all my friends smoke (d). The "d" is because after they see it working for a couple weeks and can tell I feel better, cough less, have more energy, etc, they start to get curious. 4 of 5 people that I see nearly every day now have starter kits of their own; with me being the one to place orders for them. Guess who is having the last laugh now....???? Do not let the unfaithful deter you from your better health. May not be a perfect habbit but damn sure beats the old stinkies!

GRATZ!!!! On make it to day 3!! You are almost though the first week, the hard one too. Keep up the good work!

So far everyone has been very supportive of my vaping. Some smokers are excited to see that it is actually working. It is different when you see it taking place with someone you know versus a "sales" person telling you it works. For all the ones who can't accept/understand, well pfftt.. on them. At least you are working on improving your bad habits and your health and not proving that you aren't by being judgmental of their bad habits. Take a vape and enjoy, put a smile on your face and walk away.

On a side note...everyone here is so supportive I find myself practically living on here!

Funny thing I orderer some juice and it tastes awful kinda gives me a headache and its the only juice I got left so today I have vaped about 1/3 of what I normally would... but I can get away with vaping less and I don't freak like I would before with ciggies would have smoked just as many crappy generic cigs as my normal brand.humm mabey I should see just how long I can go without vaping? Oh 45 some odd days off analogs well does it count if I smoked 1/2 of one making faces and feeling sick to my stomach?

Same here, friends and even total starangers, show a lot of understanding, support or at least curiosity, but my own brother. He still gives me evil look when sees me vaping. I think it is just because I did something about my bad habbit (at least traded it for much less unhealthy one) and he still cannot deal with his own (it is not smoking) in any way. So don't worry, you live your own life, some things just take time and you will show that you've made good decision.
